Papa John's only has like 5ish ingredients in the dough vs. Pizza hut & dominos clocking in at 20+ random ingredients in their pizza dough. =Papa John's is real food!
When I lived in New Zealand back in the late 90s, early 2000s, I had to call my pizza place after ordering to tell them to put the pepperoni on top of the cheese. They would constantly tell me "But they will get burnt!" (crispy), and I'd have to reassure them that's how I wanted them!
Dominos uses aerated pizza pans to ensure the crust is evenly baked and crispy. Those aeration holes are what leaves the circles on the bottom of the crust. Many pizza places use them, including one that I managed in the past.
All the Pizza Huts around me closed up all at once recently. The only ones still open are the ones in Targets. Kinda sad cause when I was a kid eating in Pizza Huts with my family and friends brings back such good memories.
