More and more South Africans are falling victims to crime syndicates who steal or hijack vehicles with the purpose of reselling them back into the economy with fraudulent documents.
Using social media and second-hand dealerships, this syndicates will sell stolen and cloned cars to the unsuspecting public. Working in groups, one will specialize in hijackings and stealing, another will etch fraudulent numbers on the car, whilst the others will organise fraudulent papers and the last group will attempt to sell them. We take a look at three different gentlemen who own three different cars but with the same engine and vin number.
