Solid 8/10. Funny as hell. Fun as hell. Horror was definitely toned down but I understand why. The costumes and set designs absolutely killed it. Honestly, they felt real.
I enjoyed the hell out of it tbh. Liked the direction they took with mike's psychology. Making him stuck in the past. It made him interesting. The issue I had was springtrap being a bit generic. But other than that, had a great time. Looking forward to the next one
One thing is the bite of 87 was with mangle and suspectedly a security guard, not fredbear and crying child which was the bite of 83. Just pointing it out.
"He probably wouldnt remember the name, let alone the last name of some random kid he killed." Lmao idk man, id say that would stick into someones memory pretty well, especially if it was his first kill. Great vid tho! Didnt even think of how Vanessa could be a stand-in for Michael. Sadly i wish the movie had more (been a huge fan of the series for a while too, just wish Mike wasnt as much of a focus) and ultimately thought it was mid. Im betting on it rn tho, 2nd movie boutta be 10x better than the first 😁
If we're talking his first, sure makes sense, but it could also be his 20th, so idk. I just know I barely remember the names of people I met a year ago. For him to kill 10+ kids, and then care about one of them enough to instantly recognise their last name multiple years later just feels weird to me. Thank you though, and I agree, the second one will probably be better.
As a FNAF fan since the beginning who thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of the movie, even I came out of the theatre thinking, "Yeah, I can see why the critics don't like this movie as much as us." Wished they showed Mike's and Garrett's implied, close bond throughout the movie. Would have made a certain plot point a bit more digestible.
Shady: If you dont agree with me that the movie is great you can f- off!! (Snor enters the chat) Snor: Shady lets have a chat about the greatest mid movie of all time 😂
@ShadyPst No im just kidding, I actually did like the movie id even give it a 7/10. The reason its not higher is due to the movie not feeling like it followed its source material. I mean in the games the animatronics do everything in their power to kill the guard and stop working after 6am yet in this movie neither of these things happen and it also felt like the movie was made more so for kids to enjoy aswell which is why the violence and blood showings are kept to a minimum and the movie sorta had the same problem for me as it felt more like a kids movie instead of the general target audience that would consume fnaf. also not that it matters too much but the movie was a tiny bit predictable. Other than that i did think it was an enjoyable movie despite it not being for my target audience as i inicialy thought it would. My experience felt simular to the mario movie, it was mostly enjoyable jus because i played the mario games but not because i actually liked the plot of the movie.
To be fair, it followed some of the source material, just not the games. It took a lot of its ideas from the books which is really the only way FNAF works as a movie imo, cause they are so different from the games. If they took purely from FNAF 1, I don't think there'd be enough to make a full movie. Also the animatronics working exactly as they do in the games doesn't really work either imo, the kids just stopping what they were doing at 6am exactly, just cause, feels even weirder than what we got.
If you explain it like that then sure it makes sense i just assumed since the games was what brought the series to life they would use that as its main inspiration/source material. Also yeah i also get that making a movie out of the games wouldve been difficult and why would the guard return the rest of the week for a low paying job after learning his life is in danger, right? But idk i still think they couldve made it work because, think about it from my pov the only exciting scenes were when the animaronics killed the introducers, and the end scene when the animatronics turn evil (sorta, u know wat i mean) and Micheal Afton showing up (which i totally called was gonna be the dude from the start) other than those scenes which take up maybe 20 minutes the rest of the movie is just filled with unexciting stuff, like when i went in i thought i would feel a true horror experience for at least 70% of the movie. Like the movie "It" is a great example of there being action throughout a good portion of the movie. In this movie most of the time takes up learning about the guards life and him mostly sleeping (which that went on for too long and too many times) Vennesa was cool ig but again in the source material (the games) she's a villain (Vanny the bunny) and here she helps the protagonists. So yeah dont hate the movie or anything i just felt like the movie had great potential and ig thats kinda on me for holding by expectations too high. And also this is my last reply i promise i just get carried away xD we should discuss these things in dms tbh xD lol
@2Snor I get it, but like my biggest issue with your argument is, again if they just attacked people randomly, it wouldn't work as a movie. IT worked really well because that movie was able to use its imagry a lot more due to Pennywise's abilities and his character. On top of it being R rated. With FNAF all the animatronics are kids, I think a lot of people forget/don't know that going in. Sure the fort scene was weird, but it made sense for the characters. It makes sense that the only time they'd attack is in self defense in Mike's dreams, when someone's breaking their shit like the robbers, or like the ending with William. I agree there should have been a bit more horror even if it's just weird shit happening in a dream or whatever, but I don't think them just randomly killing people makes sense either.
I think my biggest issue with the movie is they don't actually play to the scary parts of the franchise. The easiest example is foxy. Like why didn't they have foxy run at the camera in the one scene where they set it up. No they had to make him telleport. I know it's probably a limitation since they had an actual animatronic but that did Foxy dirty and took me out of it
I enjoyed the movie for what it was worth story wise ! I didn’t really go into thinking too much about the games especially when there wasn’t even PHONE GUY in the movie
That's fair. Unless you go in knowing the games, the books and how they work together, knowing just the first few games doesn't really make this one any more enjoyable.
Where is everyone coming up with golden freddy? He wasnt in the movie. Theres 5 animatronics, theres 5 kids. The ginger is foxy, the kid with the bunny ears is bonnie, the only girl is chica, the blonde kid is freddy, so the kid with the hat is the cupcake. Theres no golden freddy. Plus when freddy shows up at abbys house, the blonde kid is with him. Its just freddy
The blond kid is Golden Freddy, the kid with the hat is Freddy. There's a scene where there's a completely different kid (not the blond) luring someone to Freddy, I don't really get the confusion with this one.
I kind of enjoyed it to be honest. Just got home from watching it with a friend. It was funny (the BB doll got me like three times) and I really enjoyed How the movie acted. It’s telling it’s own story. *I didn’t want it to be exactly the same.* and it wasn’t! It was its own silly little thing.
thats true because I loved it

Pretty terrible movie even as a hardcore fnaf fan

Completely agree

Just pointing it out.
I know, there's no gameplay related to it so i chose the meme route.

You do give Monk a fight over having the worse oppinions. 😅

My niece and nephew loved it. I thought it was horrible, it lacks basic things that movies require
So did the mario movie, I loved that too though lol

@@ShadyPst I'm not confused. There's no golden Freddy in the movie. It's that simple
I agree, I think it dipping off slightly from the games was probably the best way to handle it.
