- Vten aka Mr. Samir Ghising is a young Nepali rapper and songwriter in Nep-Hop industry.
After S.L.C., most of the students come to Kathmandu to pursue higher studies. But for Vten, he came to Kathmandu to learn Thangka painting. As growing up, he was passionate about painting, dancing, and football. It was a dream come true for him to be able to learn painting and play with brush and colours. Although he joined college, he eventually dropped out because of his lack of interest in studies.
Later he got into some bad habits because of his peer pressure. Things were getting rough with his uncle because of that, so he had to leave their home and start living on his own. He had to struggle a lot. In the meantime, he found his new passion for rap. He loved it so much that he ultimately decided to make it his career. Here Vten shares about his rap music career journey and how incidences in his life turned him into a rapper.
Recently VTEN has been arrested by Nepal Police for using what they call 'anti social language' in his lyrics in one of his songs. The free VTEN movement is currently widespread, demanding freedom of expression.

Just because he chooses to express himself in a language that is regionally popular and he is confident in, doesnt make him illiterate. He may or may not have had access to formal education but that is not an inference I would draw from this video. Many high level bureaucrats and diplomats speak in their regional language at world conventions, doesnt mean they dont know English.
And books are everything, Internet is not. But reading all the books in the world and not having any personal experience to verify the knowledge, that is stupidity. Instead of being a proud Nepali, here you are trying very hard to be accepted as Korean or whatever because you speak English well.

I still remember that day when Girish Dai launched his ‘churot’ unofficial video that were being circulated in Fb.... and those recognized pages/groups/person who were sharing his video, he used to tag his friend Aashis and may be Cypher and he used to share in his own timeline..... He gain fame with that song... I thankfully wanted to congratulate him at that time too but because we are unknown to each-other so it was like so-so...... And again chetan dai brought unofficial video of ‘ma manche khattam’.... many people don’t know about this as I think, this song is removed from Chetan dai vlog... but that video ‘unofficial’ is still with me... As I’m one of the fan of MC Flo, and In PMST interview I found out, He is also fan of MC Flo... So I started to love him much more.... and Afterthat....
