I’ll keep your suggestion in mind and get a copy because I’m seriously considering converting but rest assured I’m not a Orthobro, I haven’t been baptized into any religion for that matter.
My top 5 5) Prologue of Ohrid 4) The Evergetinos 4volume set 3) The Psalter and the Holy Fathers Johanna Manley 2) Unseen Warfare Theophan the Recluse 1) The Ascetical Homilies of Saint Isaac the Syrian 12:05
Congratulations on your five years here on UA-cam. I think I’ve been watching you for at least three years now. Boy have you been through a lot the past few years. Thank you for the books and prayer books that you have shown on the channel. Really admire your joy for prayer and for the books that excite you. I say this as a non-orthodox.
Thanks for all the great content brother! The Way of a Pilgrim was my introduction to Orthodoxy as well and is one of those books I will revisit for years to come. Glory to God! ☦️💯🙌 Great to see some old punx and metal nerds on the narrow path 😂💪
My parish uses the Fr. Sysoev book as our catechism book, but we recently got a bunch of the Slobodskoy book (due to the Sysoev book being rather unavailable). The Sysoev version was the first book I was ever given when I began my catechism years ago and it's been my go-to. Wonderful set of books you've recommended, I need to get me the Wounded by Love book!
Another good book to get is "My Life in Christ" by St. John of Kronstadt. It's his personal diary from when he was a priest, and the subdeacon of my parish recommended it to me. An absolutely worthwhile read!
I’ve not read Way of the Pilgrim yet, but will have to add it to my list! I’d be happy to send you some of my Orthodox Saints Coloring Books if you’d like to review (or color) them! God bless!
Congratulations on the fifth anniversary of Orthodox review!! Thank you for your recommendations and book reviews. May God bless you and your channel and grant you many years!!
Has it been 5 yrs already? Many years, Raphie, may God grant you many years. Anyway, such an unrealistic list. Not a single Lenten Cookbook in the lot!!!
@@OrthodoxReview Yes I just ordered one from the church of nativity website instead of the holy trinity supply. They might have stored it in the wrong condition though because I have a old rite prayer book that I just got from them and it's beat up good on the corners even though they packed it extremely well.
@@OrthodoxReviewThanks a ton. Will look that up, and definitely added these to a future read list (I had only read the green Law of God book prior to the vid).
Writer/translator, formatting, typesetting, editing, layout and artwork, printing, shipping, cost to seller, and not to mention marketing, merchandising, advertising. And that's BEFORE even considering a profit margin.
I loan “Wounded by Love” to all of the men enquirers we get. Helps temper the urge to go Orthobro, showing love truly is the path of salvation.
Brilliant!

@@AlexKS1992I think it’s a must read for every Orthodox Christian, or frankly every person.
It must be so pleasant to read books with all those birds singing in the background.
have you put your crayons down ? then we will debate this don't be an ignorantia...lets hear it?
ignorantia
Way of the Ascetics! I've read a page of it every day for 30 years. Never gets old.
Thanks for the great recommendations!
Thank God!

Completely agree with Wounded By Love. It saved me from a world of misery as a new Orthodox Christian.
Beautiful chanting ♥️☦️
Wow! I have all of them except the last one and I put it on my purchase list. Many Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Simple jack!!!! Haha you are awesome!
God grant you many years!
What Rancid adjacent bands do you like?
Also, just ordered wounded by love
Social Distortion, Agnostic Front, The Queers, The Mentors, etc...
My _Social Distortion_ t-shirt which has gone missing was my favorite. I knew there was something about you.
@PadraigTomas my first tattoo was the dancing skeleton
I agree the way of the Ascetics has a depth that does not match its size.
So great to see you today! I like these simple recommendations. I’ve been wondering what book to get, and now I know. Thank you!
Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Many Years. You always do great content brother.
(I need to get "The Cross of Loneliness"😉)
Thanks for these suggestions

Monetize your videos! I’d be happy to watch ads lol.
This one's demonetized on purpose, the rest of the content is still monetized, though.
In the book "A Psalter for Pray" on page 186 it say "Lord have mercy[40] what does the [40] stand for?
40 times

The books of Father Seraphim Rous is good
Did you say the book was prophetable? 😂
I'll see myself out. On a more serious note, where would you rank unseen warfare?
Have you ever read Saint Silouan the Athonite?
Yup!
I have an Exhorder shirt that was for an album that never happen and it's a miss print but it's a Lg...would that fit you
I'm a 2XL, but thanks for the offer!

Happy anniversary! Many years to you brother. Glory to God.
My old rite horologions end bands are completely detached from the books pages. You you have that problem? And its new.
Oof-da. Send it back

Orthodoxy and tasty punk bass lines? Dude, I'm pretty sure we would be friends irl 😂
I hope so!
WHY ARE THE BOOKS SO EXPENSIVE? a total rip off
