What cake recipe is best for numbers? Also what size board would you use for an 18 cake?
Butter-based cakes works for number cakes or any carved cakes. A pound cake is the best. A 12"x16" cake board can be used if each number is, at most, 9"x6". Any bigger, you're better off with separate cake boards for each number.

I used a 2 inch diameter circle cutter on this one.

Hello. For this project, I used 2 pcs 7 inch round cake pans. But you can also use 2pcs 8 inch pans. 🙂

Both are 7 inch round cake
In this video, i used 2pcs - 8" cakes. Yes, you can also use 2pcs- 7" cakes ☺️
