Send us q's for the GF Debrief under this comment! Make sure to send also some questions for our fearless director and cameraman, Mark!
Q: Will you visit some foreign places like Hoia-Baciu forest (would love to see you on a solo investigation in a place where you can really get lost) or will you just stick to the american soil like some newbie ghost busters?
Why are all the audience evidence photos taken on Nokia Bricks?
Do you ever walk away from an investigation with a heavy feeling, as if something has followed you home?
Omg I was literally rewatching the first episode #ghoulboys
Can u guys re-visit Mexico specially the creepy doll island ?
Cameraman Mark, how do you do it… are you in the dark often and have you ever felt something during an investigation? I.e a touch, shiver, breath?
“i’m gonna be praying for you”
“that’s very comforting knowing you’re an atheist”
THIS KILLED ME
LMFAOOO
Honestly we need to write stuff like this down 😭😂😭 Quotes of the year by Ryan and Shane
this is why i never know what to say to ppl lol
RIP

Shane saying he does this so he can enjoy historical places without all the noisy tourists is all too relatable 😂
I would too tbh
If it wasn’t for the fact I get super “imaginative” at night and in the dark, I would too. XD
@@Brenilla Same XD.
The fact I read this comment literally as he was saying this
So smart. Makes purrfect sense
I love that Ryan is incredibly polite and respectful for 99.9% of the exploration and then when he’s done, his last 2 minutes as he’s running out he’s just hurling insults the entire way
He’s gotta leave the bad vibes behind him 😂
It's like a coping mechanism for his fear. Pretending to be super confident and aggressive to power through the terror he feels
😂😂😂
Because he knows he's leaving 🤣 but what he doesn't know, is they'll just follow him home since he pissed them off 🌚
@@abby_18It's the Ohio State Penitentiary episode if I remember correctly!
Honestly for me, any ghostly things in this episode were completely overshadowed by the solitary cells. Alone in the dark, naked and cold with only a hole as a toilet? That is pure psychological torture. I can't get over how evil that is.
Unfortunately, that’s how prisoners are treated everywhere. There are millions upon millions of documents describing the inhumane and utterly dehumanizing treatment of inmates throughout history and all around the world. On that, there is NO way that inmate in the hole died of “supernatural causes.” They were screaming all night, more than likely experiencing psychosis and hallucinations of the glowing red eyes, and a guard strangled them to death. There would have been no one else around who had access to them, and no one else would have gotten away with it like that. I find that clear as day.
Still happens today
I mean, you don't go to alcatraz for being a sweet human being, so deserved. 🤷
Solitary confinement is illegal in many other countires, and is recognized as a human rights violation and is psychological torture
It's evil if it were to happen to innocent people. But these people were far, far, far from innocent and lovely people. It was pretty much deserved. I mean, a man literally licked up another's neck blood out of 'love'.
love the fact that two random guys from buzzfeed end up making what is legitimately one of the best paranormal shows of all time
Mhm
And it's absolutely free.
They are the best ghost hunters out there
nah, not just two guys. the whole team is stacked.
I think they’re the most charismatic/sympathetic ghost hunters in terms of relation to audience and lax familiarity with narration.
They’re able to show more wholesome/ simple moments and talk off the top of their head without it being edited or without needing to codeswitch or act like a tv character. Because it’s UA-cam and production and monetary gains are different they don’t need to correlate on the same level as television between standard guidelines by executives and code enforcers and what’s actually wanted from the content/genre creators and consumers.
Altho to argue that they’re the best paranormal hunters of all time without providing any metric of how they’re the best is wild, I think they’re entertaining and take more breaks then an average tv show would. Which as someone having attention issues them doing such heavy editing or a joke cut or a flash forward flash back (like there’s 20 edits in 1 minute that’s absurdly short clips that all have sound editing working as the overarching tie in) the switch up or the break from serious to not serious will draw my attention back to the conversation, if suddenly a cast member is laughing after saying ‘Jesus Christ what was that you lil ghoully goblin’ I’ve probably not heard that before or I’ll go back for more context.
Rewatching components the ability to reverse the video and see a clip over and over really changes the dynamic of how you show information. When they can put it in once or twice and I can go back 20 times to look myself in 2 minutes it’s different then having to rewatch a full tv episode when it’s premiering and set a dvr... Ik that sounds dumb but the way content is being edited/produced is vastly different because of repeat accessibility (it also means there’s more fads as something new can become really old or boring if you can repeat it more times then the show can produce that same clip in a unique way)
Because I may not be staring at my phone watching this but I am listening and the breaks in narrative bring back my focus. in tv shows the focus is on the visuals, you have epic shots done footage deep explainations of tools with schematics /animation theres reinactments and even scenes that portray what ghost visually look like from the perspectives of unnamed witnesses and artists renderings. It’s literally some of the most absurd horror cinematic stuff you can watch with high levels of drama and intense punk/alternative vibes.
Like as a 12 year old I saw a ghost show where there was a reinactment of a heroin overdose and the man becoming a ghost and then haunting his family’s home from the perspective of the daughter seeing her dads ghost days after finding his body.
Talk about a mind f-k watching that, it’s literally a short movie with low production that it looks like a Spider-Man skull and lightning transformation montage for 15 minutes with the audio to match. and ridiculous topics that aren’t depicted elsewhere or are so extreme there used as propaganda examples in modern history
I feel like you can’t compare UA-cam ghost adventures or shows to tv productions it’s just too steep of a difference in finances, restrictions, and ability to generate and control content/audience, along with just generating finances like ad breaks, tours, signings, and merchendise. Tv actors and ghost hunters don’t participate on the same level as individual content creators because they have producers/executives financing them and deciding what’s done.individual content creators don’t have those finances and even signed with producers it’s a fraction of a Hollywood budget. You need to have the engagement of fans for alternative income or to in the decade for this show take one episode and break it into two episodes one of the exploration one of the breakdown, tv shows it’s all in one go one episode 24 mins max not 1:30:00 video 1 and 30 mins video 2 with the option for going to a website and getting keychains and stuff
Shane pursuing this career to visit historical sites without dealing with tourists is the best long con I’ve ever heard
I completely agree! 😊💕
That's a true galaxy brain move
Yeah but first time he visited this place, didn't go well:
ua-cam.com/video/lCl7I7png08/v-deo.html
Holy shit .... He's genius
Bots a plenty
The guy who died in the hole, if theyre naked and in a cement room 20-30° lower than the rest of the prison, they probably died of hypothermia. Severe hypothermia can cause hallucinations and paradoxical undressing where they try to remove layers of clothing due to a sudden feeling of warmth. Maybe, because he was already naked, he started grabbing his own throat? Itd help if they did an autopsy - see if he had Wischnewski spots on the lining of his stomach - a pretty damn good indicator of hypothermia
I heard that there was no possibility of him doing that to himself
Orrrrr it could be the prison guard themself ACAB! Cops get away with a lot of stuff
I visited Alcatraz five days ago on holiday in SF and I consider myself a skeptic. That being said, we did the night tour and I had an opportunity to stand alone in Cell 13 in D block (Cell 14 was not open to the public) and if I didn’t know for a fact there was just me in there I would’ve sworn blind there was someone standing behind me. No noises or movements or anything but just a very unnerving certainty, despite the obvious physical evidence that there was nobody there.
I did then proceed to whisper ‘Choo choo pickle pie?’ but instead of a paranormal response I got a weird look off another tourist entering the cell.
A skeptic I remain.
this is bravery at its finest. thank you.
It gets me every time when Ryan is in the place by himself and Shane predicts EXACTLY what Ryan is saying to himself to comfort himself LMAOOOOO true friendship
Thats my brother ta me anytime im in a scary a** place lol
Omg hell yes.... bffs for life
they’re literally the best duo ever. lmao
“The first room we’ll visit is the shower room… this is where the inmates showered.” Very helpful information, thank you Ryan.
Could've been for the prison guards or something though
Could be the bumming showers😂
i’ll never get over ryan’s eyes during the solo investigations
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT SAW IT LMAOOOOO
The SIM version of Ryan that Shane made is perfect
I remember one episode during buzzfeed unsolved, he heard something in the distance and tried to see what it was- just staring in the distance. It honestly got me into such a giggling fit, it was insane 😭😭😭
It amazed me how Shane wasn't scared at all 😭 like i get that some people arent scared of ghosts, but to be alone in such a dark place famous of murder cases tho damn
That man has so many balls and even Ryan willing to go in is impressive… I couldn’t and I don’t even believe in the supernatural
I mean once upon a time it had murderers but it’s literally a state park now….. it’s like going to Disneyland after dark.
But I’ve actually been there during the daytime and it’s way less scary once you see it that way. It’s like a nice little island with a ferry and a ton of tourists
Because there's literally nothing there. Not like on the mainland where it's possible someone could sneak onto the property.
Considering that it was specifically supposed to be hard as shit to get on or off the island, and that you’d probably need crazy amounts of permission to visit at night, there really isn’t anything there that can harm you
I love that Ryan gives the ghosts consent to touch him on the shoulder or something and Shane is like “you can tear my skin off”
It's 100% because Ryan thinks they legitimately exist Shane has zero belief in them so it's a younger in cheek thing
it's important to give consent for touch, whether it's a little hand squeeze or skin tearing lol
The physical embodiment of 0 - 100 lol
@@ashrowan2143 It'd better _not_ be a "younger in cheek" thing! 😂😂
Shane's impressively impersonation of Ryan followed by Ryan saying the EXACT same thing in the same tone is golden
It reminds me of that one ep they did w curly and Ryan had predicted what Shane was doing during his solo investigation
@@spookyems which ep was that?
@@gamonstudios I believe it was la llorona ep which was also sponsored by la llorona movie at that time
What’s the time stamp of the impersonation? I think I missed it

This is the best paranormal show I’ve seen. No over the top yelling, no reaching for evidence in every little sound or breeze, just curious fun
Ehh, some of it is reaching. Small noises that we think sound like speech but isn't really and presenting it as "evidence" is a bit far. Especially the viewer submitted pieces.
@@ItsScapeGoatedno where as bad as Sam and Colby or Twin Paranormal
@@ball623 oh 100%. I see this as all in good fun.
Every ghost show should have a skeptic there as the voice of reason and to keep things at least somewhat grounded in reality
that disembodied “yeah” in the empty cell block was one of the most horrifying things i’ve ever heard I got the shivers with that
Omg so I'm not crazy... you heard that too?
John wick ghost
Shane walking out of the solo investigation looking like a GTA stripper is the most ghostfiles exit ever
That's such an accurate observation 🤣🤣
That’s what that walk reminded me of! I couldn’t put my finger on it first
LOOOL exactly
Omg you're right LOL
I’ve introduced my parents to Ghost Files, which they are divided on. My step-dad thinks they’re too irreverent.
“They don’t take it seriously.”
My mom: “The little one does!”
THE LITTLE ONE
Awww that’s cute
SKSK THE LITTLE ONE
My parents have said the same thing 😂
Honestly what got me into it is how I admired Ryan like fr
Shane actually thanking the spirits after the REM pod thing made me smile :) I know he's skeptical and he used to have the sort of "reckless dickhead" role, but he's much more respectful now even if he isn't 100% sure if he believes in it or not
I totally agree. I actually couldnt watch the original buzzfeed series (despite watching the crime series when it first released as buzzfeed blue) because shayne was so aggressive. I'm not a total believer, and what I do believe in is far different from what the stereotype of ghosts is, but man did it hurt to watch. I deeply enjoy this now because of the attitude difference.
Dickhole to who? Things that dont exist? Yall weird as hell.
@@Shroomiestwhy did it hurt you? It was hilarious. and you know they both exaggerated their “characters” for buzzfeed because they were sticking to the concept where they were opposites
I think Shane is 100% sure what he doesn't believe in 😂
@@Nightmare3316 he may be sure, but is he dure?
"That's very comforting knowing that you're an atheist." This was the best part for me. 10/10 quip from Ryan
This noise cancelling spirit box sessions are without a doubt the best parts of this show
It's been incredibly interesting to watch those parts and gives a new layer to their work which is really cool!
I was crying at Shane 😂
BURP CAR
"Shirt hag!"
@@anna5292 That needs to be on a watcher shirt.
Damn, Ryan willingly sticking his hand in a hole and asking for ghosts to touch him, without even needing to be prompted by Shane. Definitely getting more brave the more he does this.
man woke up and chose violence that day [Violence to Ryan's degree of comfort]
Not only that, but he’s becoming more sturdy as well… note that he also didn’t scream & run away from any slight whisper of a breeze that might have graced his hand while he did this.
Part of me thinks that this isn't Ryan but Ricky Goldsworth just pretending to be him. 😅
I literally shouted out Ryan how could you!!! My daughter was like, you good?
Agreed, Ryan's definitely getting his character development through these shows lol
Shane saying how he's been asking for years for someone to hang out with him, immediately cutting to Ryan saying he's scared of the future is an underrated edit
Ryan's "I don't wanna die" has the same energy as Shane's "I want to live...forever" on Unsolved
I was thinking the same thing!
The old show: Ryan is scared, Shane is dismissive. The new show: Ryan is slightly braver, Shane a little more open to believing in stuff.
Character development
Shane seemed genuinely uncomfortable at times this episode, perhaps due to just the location
I bet buzzfeed pushed them to keep up the dynamic even if it wasn't completely accurate to them
@@gilly_axolotl Also Buzzfeed forced them to fake evidence or make the most unlikely things very HaUnTeD! (See Goatman’s Bridge, they really PUSH evidence there)
Seeing Shane kinda surprised he was having somewhat of a legit convo and the gimbal suddenly malfunctioning was pretty interesting. I'm sure the guy's seen more stuff a usual skeptic will never see.
@@gilly_axolotl oh they definitely did, they most likely thought it was the dynamic of “hardcore believer and hardcore skeptic” that sold instead of just shane and ryans chemistry
Love the way Shane keeps re-emphasizing that Ryan is a brave guy, because it's true! Shane's nonchalant attitude towards everything is impressive, but the way Ryan soldiers on despite being completely terrified is pure bravery. 👏
Well put, and I agree!
I wouldn't call it bravery for Shane since he doesn't believe. Ryan certainly is brave though
"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.' - Nelson Mandela
@@Vaquix000 they didn't say it's bravery from Shane. They said his nonchalant attitude is impressive. Reading comprehension, you're lacking it.
@@CrisSelene no need to be rude
That EVP where they ask “what happened to you” after the female voice was trying to talk, then they get a distinctly male voice that says “I died” gave me chills. Few EVP’S ever creep me out but the way it sounded like sad and matter of fact in a totally different voice than the one they were getting right before they asked that question is pretty freaking creepy.
I love how Shane and Ryan resort to guilt tripping the ghosts to come out so they can get evidence lmao
"Shane and I will each be forced to explore the entire prison one at a time… because I hate myself."
At least Ryan’s honest with himself
I like how he phrases it as if Shane is also forced to do it and it's not just a challenge for Ryan while Shane has fun
Powerful sales line …. Love the show
He was joking.
First, we got the ghoulies calling them "King". Now, Ryan's been called "World's Finest". This is definitely the validation they deserve.
Bot alert bot alert
I love the device they use w/ headphones where one of them just says whatever they think the static is saying and the other asks questions. Might be my favorite ghost catching device of the show. It's very silly and hard to take seriously, but trying to prove definitively that ghosts are real is a silly premise, so I'm all for it.
The Estes Method rocks.
Many thanks to Estes.
I love Ryan as a ghost hunter because I feel like he’s relatable as fuck 🤣🤣 he goes bc it’s like “hell yeah ghosts, I wanna find them and see spooky shit” but is still terrified and will chicken out in zero seconds but Shane won’t let him therefore we have this beautiful UA-cam channel
Man you all don't realize how truly lucky we are that this series got revamped. Thank you Shane and Ryan for keeping this show alive!
@Watcher 🅥 don’t click the link, it’s a fake acc
100%, I’m hyped up
Their channel would've faded into oblivion had they chose not too.
So much better than Ghost Adventures. I can’t stand Zach nowadays. Only watch it cause Aaron and Jay are cool.
I think I realized it when they announced it thank you very much.
the thought of shane doing ALL of this, Unsolved, watcher, everything, just so he can see places without tourists interrupting him is fucking hilarious
I like how Ryan mentions that Alcatraz looks like a level in Call of Duty, that's because it was. It is the location of the zombies maps Mob of the Dead and its remake Blood of the Dead, both of which tackled the concepts of limbo and souls haunting the island. So... the silly goofy guy do be speaking facts.
Shane mocking Ryan's "I am not my fear, my fear does not define me, fear is not my middle name" mantra was such a great roast. It's made perfect by "but it is, it is his middle name" after a cut to Ryan inside the prison saying those exact words. 😂
i'm obsessed with ryan looking straight to the camera with those giant scared eyes when he heard footsteps
it's honestly so funny
SAMEEE 😂
wait i see you everywhere
Question for debrief: Shane, of all the places you’ve visited for supernatural investigation, which one ACTUALLY made you the most creeped out? Love this show
good question but I think u have to reply under their debrief comment for them to see it
Reply under the pinned comment! I wanna see him answer this
I think he said Waverly Place if I remember
@@dawnrempel9679 me too!
He did say Waverly place last episode
Timing in editing is really top notch with these. I was just thinking that Shane was being pretty chill and not pulling his previous stunts of threatening demons into mutilation, and three seconds later, Shane, in his chipper ghost-bullying voice started requesting the demon to wear him like a jacket. 😂
Watcher, you missed something. 38:02, look behind Ryan. Behind him, there's a few open cells and you can see a shadowy figure peeking half-way out. It kinda steps backwards into the cell, pretty cool
Shane voicing what the spirit box said with no context from Ryan may have been the funniest ghost hunting method y'all have ever attempted lmao

This is why we love ryan
Ryan being extra, Shane being sarcastic
immediately followed by “any questions big boy?”
Same Ryan same
I really liked how this show somehow states 'possibly" for every uncertain communication they receive. It's really good because they are realistic enough that what they are gathering are evidences, and they try their best to decipher it but also give the audience their freedom to believe it or be skeptical about it.
I remember I went to Alcatraz when I was 12, my Mum got sick on the ferry to the island which was weird because we come from NZ and our family is from the coast so naturally a lot of boating and ferries prior. She said that when she got to the island she just felt an overwhelming weight come over her and just felt awful like she was having an allergic reaction.
She stayed near the entrance me and my dad went on, I didn't really understand what happened but when we got in there we were visiting the cells and my dad didn't wanna go in so I went and I sat on the bed, I instantly felt someone grab my arm super hard and almost guide me out of the cell until the pressure released.
I think that's when I started being sensitive for this sorta stuff, that same night I went to bed and woke up to see a maid folding my clothes, she turned around and just said sorry and left. Thought it was just a dream until I woke up and found my pants folded with one leg rolled up and my dads pants folded the same way with his socks rolled into a military fashion.
I actually vomited when walking through cellblock D, super embarrassing but I think it was due to bad energy there.
🧢
I love this series because every time I start to get a little freaked out they say something like “turd biscuit” and everything is ok again
LMAOO RIGHT
I know right XD me and my friend both lost it at that part
Comedy/Horror best genre.
I’m honestly so blown away by the production value of this series, it legit feels like you’re watching a tv show and not a UA-cam video 😯 You can tell everyone worked super hard on this so props! (No joke tho, I put this video on my tv and my roommate actually thought I was watching Discovery Channel or something 😂)
Edit: Hey mom, I’m famous 😎
They've worked so hard and it's all paying off :)
True! The original series was on Hulu back in the day
Totally agree with you! And, I'm watching on my TV too! It's waaay better that just using my phone!
i agreee!!!
I went to San Fran when I was about 7 and we went to Alcatraz. I absolutely REFUSED to go into any cells, and there was one part of the building I remember that I just couldn’t get through the doorway I felt so anxious and sick. Idk what’s still at Alcatraz, but my 7 year old self as well as current self would say there’s definitely something there.
Wow, a child was frightened while visiting a prison? I’m shocked, bamboozled, and shaking in my boots
@@maddieb.4282 Okay, we have a tendency to dismiss kid's reports but, honestly, from a scientific perceptive. If we allow the possibility of ghost/bad energy/environmental energy being real, it would make sense that kids would be more sensitive to it. Kids have larger ranges of hearing that adults, are more sensitive to different pitches, have a harder time filtering out sensory information and determining what information to place importance on. So, hypothetically, if there are "ghosts" or "spirits" who often exist at the edges or just beyond our perception, it would make sense that kids, being more sensitive to environmental stimulus, would more easily sense them.
Just cuz, regardless of the realm of ghosts or not, we as a society have a tendency to discount the reports of children to an honestly unfair extent. Like, we should verify what kids experience/report as much as possible, but also shouldn't discount their experience on basis of their age, y'know?
"My Husband is a murderer Huhuuu 😭" 🤣 Christ Shane your humor is just the best
The spirit saying “they look scared” made me laugh harder then it should have

Did some little research. At 18:18, we hear "7" and soon after we hear "Eddie." Looking into prisoners, there was an Edward (Ed) Wutke who was the first prisoner to successfully commit suicide (assuming the info I found is correct.) Sentenced to 27 years and assigned the number "47." While also dying in 1937. Could be someone else, could be a coincidence, but it tracks.

Can we bring back the conspiracy theory that Shane is a demon who started just by messing with Ryan for the fun of it but then accidentally befriended him and now he cares too much? So now he has to suffer through these investigations trying not to set off all the equipment and trying to convince his ghost underlings to just go along with what Ryan wants?😊
So kind of like Netflix Lucifer?
I used to read fanfictions of this. Loved them so much- Except the smut ones.. Ugh.
@@dove2826 ahahaha i love that fact that people were writing fan fiction about this idk what else I expected from the internet
PLS BRING BACK DEMON SHANE I MISS IT SO MUCH
I’m such a fan of this.
the budget on this series feels huge. its insane to go back and watch the first ever unsolved episode that was like 5 minutes and see how far the makers has evolved. the editing takes it to another level. im so impressed
EXACTLY I AM SO PROUD
3:46 I just love how he always says forced when he created this series
I had an experience there: I loved alcatraz. One of the best places I went in San Francisco. It's actually so pleasant during the day. The grounds are lovely and, ironically, very peaceful feeling. Nothing about the building felt too icky. I've been to places with worse energy. However, the hole is gross. But the most paranormal thing that happened when I was there is that I was drawn to go into one particular cell when they were letting us go roam on our own during the tour. I just knew I had to go in there. And when I did, I felt a sudden, overwhelming sadness. So deep like nothing I've really felt in my own life. Guess Ive had a nice life 😅 cause this sadness the cell/spirit was making me feel was an inescapable feeling - until I left the cell.
I miss the ghoul boys signature line were Ryan says "Are ghost real?" and Shane sarcastically shakes his head as no.
Yeah, but that's Buzzfeed Unsolved
@@Dowux no?? It? Really? Had no idea!
@@Dowux r/whoosh
@@iaminpainauchocolat9300 r/wooooshwith4os, it's r/woooosh.
@@Dowux oh no! How could I do that!! I shall burn in the firey pit of hell for such a mistake!! This is truly the worst day!! Shame on me!!!
The juxtaposition between Ryan saying he will soil himself if he see's a ghoul and Shane asking them to rip his skin off is everything I love about their dynamic!
After you guys left BuzzFeed and started your own channel I waited for so long for these new ghost hunting videos to air and I'm so happy for you guys! 😁 Your team produces a great show!
They are back, loving this two. Comedic and scary.
I love how Ghost Files is presented like as if the audience is coming to them with building suggestions to investigate. They've really freshened up the format of their hunts, it's better than Unsolved. I love it so much. 🥰💖
That isn't their real account, might want to report it
I do miss the historical documemtary voiceovers.
I wish they would bring back thier iconic intro "Are ghosts real?" Followed with Shane's disapproval nod
I do kinda miss how the text scrolled across the screen during the banter, but you can really tell the budget for this show is either leagues higher or leagues better spent on Ghost Files than it ever was for BuzzFeed
@@zenith7522 thats the same for me, the banters coming across the screen were a nice break for me in between the scary music lol. i get easily creeped out so ghost files is slightly scarier for me but im just glad its back
I love how during solo investigations Ryan is just talking about life and fears while Shane is just asking to make friends.
Shane is either trying to make demons/ghouls his friends or bullying ghosts
Its his job as a demon to recruit people
14:14 So we already know Shane's a demon, now Ryan is sounding like an immortal. So are we dealing with God and Satan here?
Unfortunately, I have to agree with Shane on the hole death. It makes a lot more sense that it was a violent guard just being like "nah, don't know what happened"
Yeah considering shit like that just gets attributed to 'medical distress' now a days I find it hard to believe that they only started making excuses for inmates dying on their watch in recent years
I went to alcatraz during the summer and it was amazing and terrifying at the same time. I actually felt like someone was watching me the entire time.
The editing for this series is AMAZING!! Truly, I can’t say it enough, I’m always so impressed with the way the intro and outro are filmed and edited.
Would be nice to watch Shane and Ryan play Phasmophobia.
they did play a game at a coffee shop with a guest
you may have already seen it
I'd LOVE this!
I like to imagine Shane entering the game with a buff that makes him immune to the ghost. Then he walks around taunting it while his team is murdered, and when he finds the bodies, he assumes they died of natural causes. "Oh, what happened here? Bad time to have a heart attack." 'The person has a clearly broken neck'
Wym they ARE playing Phasmophobia, just irl
@@johanvajse8410 I wish there isn't a guest tho and it'll just be the two of em
something tells me the person killed by “supernatural” forces was definitely strangled by a prison guard. i thought shane was getting to that point when he mentioned that they weren’t above letting prisoners rot in a hole, and i think a guard makes more sense than another prisoner considering someone clearly entered and exited a locked space. and it certainly wouldn’t be the first or last time that kind of murder was covered up and attributed to other causes.
My first thought too, definitely not a ghost 😢
@@beck8914 my mom always said you gotta fear people not ghosts in the middle of nowhere/creepy ass places
My thoughts! If he was screaming for hours, the prison guard could have gone mad and killed him.
@@rp-wn5or ghosts are still scary as sh1t (I’ve had my own experiences so I can still say this)
But I do agree that people are to be feared.
Nowadays with their mentality, yeah.
I imagine too if the inmate was screaming for hours, stuck in that hole, no clothes, freezing cold, he could have also just lost it in isolation. That's a recipe for psychological torture right there. A guard finishing the poor guy off is far more likely than supernatural causes, and I'm a believer in the supernatural. Plain old humans have killed more people than unexplainable forces.
15.57 most heart pumping moment
Am I binging all of these because I’m excited for season 2?? Yes yes I am 😊😊
Your ALSO addicted to AmysCrypt 😁
The shot of Shane mocking Ryan's "I'm not my fear" lines and then immediately cutting to Ryan saying them during his alone tour was perfect 😂🤣🤣
honestly it was everything. I died.
shane imitated ryans voice so well too 😭😂
@@libras_groove that just means they must be truly best friends....or that they spend way too much time together 😂
i was actually dying at how well shane had imitated ryans voice omggg😭😭😭
I love this so much guys!!! The editing is amazing! The hunting combined with the humor is a really great balance. You took unsolved and gave it the love it deserves. I love that you guys are credited the way you always should have been, especially Ryan. 👻👻
Also, I think you should do more of the questions with one of you asking and one answering with the noise canceling headphones. That’s my favorite part!
Shane being an old timey wife whose husband was a murderer is a show that I never knew I needed
He keeps the facial hair and just wears a wig and dress 🤣
nothing beats the most intense, dramatic, fear inducing music ramping up over an otherwise hilarious scene to end up in absolutely nothing
666th like. don’t usually do this but it feels fitting.
“first up the shower room, where unsurprisingly they showered”
I love the fact that they continued with ghost hunting even after there buzzfeed contract ended. They make a really great team especially since Shane is a skeptic and Ryan is a believer. This is literally the only ghost hunters I watch and I love!!! Keep on doing what y’all are doing !!!! Y’all deflee making my miserable life a little better !!!
The spray paint at 1:51 hits hard. I don't think many people know this but for a brief period of time in the 1970s Native American people occupied Alcatraz. Under the US Treaty of Fort Laramie "all retired, abandoned, or out-of-use federal land was to be returned to the Indians who once occupied it" So Native activist Richard Oaks and others claimed the land back for their people. Their proclamation for claiming the land stated the following:
"We feel that this so-called Alcatraz Island is more than suitable as an Indian Reservation, as determined by the white man's own standards. By this we mean that this place resembles most Indian reservations, in that:
1. It is isolated from modern facilities, and without adequate means of transportation.
2. It has no fresh running water.
3. The sanitation facilities are inadequate.
4. There are no oil or mineral rights.
5. There is no industry and so unemployment is very great.
6. There are no health care facilities.
7. The soil is rocky and non-productive and the land does not support game.
8. There are no educational facilities.
9. The population has always been held as prisoners and kept dependent upon others."
Ryan always having a near existential crisis about why he does this for a living during every solo investigation really speaks to me.
Shane making fun of Ryan's mantra which immediately cuts to Ryan saying his mantra is an editorial masterpiece.
I love how shane and ryan have been able to perfectly predict what the other is doing during their solo investigations so many times and yet it never gets old
That’s true friendship baby
I agree, however don't want to like your comment, as it is perfectly: 666
@@outfromtheleft546 I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but... lol
If anyone were to find actual ghost evidence that I could believe, it would be you guys. So glad you got back to it!
“Again. Cards. Skip.” Man the ghost is out here playing Uno.
The editor has done an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING job. They definitely deserve a raise.
i kinda love how they managed to get almost every single sound effect back from unsolved, and where they couldn’t find the exact same sound, they found one similar enough.
Oh, I didn’t know you knew how much they got paid? If you learned they made 600k salary would you still give them a raise? I’m curious what amount you think it’s worth
@@Yamayeehaw At least 3.
@@Yamayeehaw it’s a figure of speech and a play of language they are complimenting the editor. It’s like when you say “someone’s passed on” instead of someone died
We agree 100%. They always have the best editing on their investigations.
Shane saying his entire career is just there to allow him to visit historical locations without having to deal with tourists speaks to my soul. Live your dreams, king. 👏
