- Destiny 2 Season of the Wish - New Pantheon Activity Full Completion (Raid Boss Gauntlet). Just a video showing our first playthrough of the newly added raid boss gauntlet "Pantheon", clearing the 4 bosses from this week. Details and timestamps below.

Gameplay will probably be poor from me here sorry. First time playing properly in the last few weeks, so it was sloppy. I also completely spaced out on what I was doing on Caretaker, especially the second phase, but other than that the clears weren't too bad. Either way, I'll probably go for a solo clear of this during the week if I get some time and if it's possible, alongside the usual guide videos and trying to get back up to the speed with the game.
Lastly, forgot to show the rewards or claim the exotic at the end, which I realised after I stopped recording - my bad.
Encounter changes:
Golgoroth:
A few new enemies spawn. Ogres during add clear, Disciple Knight before DPS, and a few Taken enemies spawn up top to chase the people with the gaze.
Caretaker:
A few more enemies again, but the biggest thing is the Caretaker bees also spawn in the rooms with the symbols and chase you there.
Explicator:
Incendiors now spawn at the top areas. Colossus enemies spawn with shields. A Tormentor spawns in the middle after swapping all of the planets. The fire tornadoes can now hit you during the add clear section, and during DPS he spawns them on all 3 plates each damage plate.
Atraks-1:
Tormentors now spawn before DPS (both bottom and top).

Encounter changes:
Golgoroth:

There might be a few other changes, but those were the notable ones.
Just to note, if you haven't already, that you needed to redeem an exotic item, even a shard or cipher, to progress the quest. You may need to run that again 😅
You don't need to rotate all 6 players for gaze for Golgoroth. I just did a run where only 2 of us rotated for gaze.
Incorrect for golgoroth it doesn't need to be rotated too all 6 i did it with just me and one other player holding gaze
Atraks doesn’t spawn two tormentors, it spawns on the bottom, and then he teleports to the top halfway through

first week is technically soloable mechanics-wise (unless they changed things, which i wouldnt be surprised)

Dungeon bosses are fine as is health wise. Like we want to use up more ammo.
@@kurosakihinomura8099the older bosses - namely shattered throne - can be 1 phased solo with sub optimal dps strats, they would need a health buff and an update on the mechanic as it is, as harsh as it is to say its too simple when compared to the newer dungeons
Imagine though if this raid. every boss is the final boss of a raid they are from. Kings fall would be oryx, Vow would be Rhulk, Ron would be nezerac, dsc would be taniks
This is going to be a nightmare for LFG
Must know everything and have meta everything
golgy swaps are gonna wall hard but hopefully itll be alright in teams where people know the encounters

Honestly not really. If you played kings fall, vow, Root of nightmares and deep stone crypt before. It really isn't that difficult, Just a few changes from then and there but overall same mechanics unless you unfortunately encounter a stubborn teammate that is throwing.
I like watching other people strategy in doing boss fights. Will incorporate these into my teams

Man, I wish there was an easy mode or a guided step by step raid mode for newer players. Watching youtube videos isnt enough. Obviously there would be less rewards, but it would make it so much easier for new players to know what to do...
That second boss. I know I'm never going to touch this.
Why? Caretaker is not a very difficult boss, and only two people have potentially difficult rolls.
The hardest boss is probably the explicator with the fire tornadoes
@@pawsqa6076 not even, unless you're like me who enter, got 3 symbols and then forget at least two of them.
@@zayron69you can just shoot all the symbols in mid and then shoot the side corresponding to what floor your on. on first floor usually the symbols are on the front and left side of the totem then 2nd and 3rd floor you’d just be shooting front and right side of the totem that’s the easy way to do it but less efficient and rng based

To be fair it's only the first week, this is only going to get harder, so I'm excited to see how the other bosses play out. Especially Riven, it'd be interesting to see how they change that bossfight up in the future.

@@alaskayoung3413 I mean if the other members don’t care to carry. But generally I’d recommend learning those bosses and then go from there if you’re just going to be doing Pantheon. Any more than that and you should be watching a full guide.

I didn’t get tormentors in atraks only planets, maybe it’s a bug or just a typo?

You should probably learn the raids themselves before trying Pantheon. Most people may not want to teach the encounters in pantheon

What's the dps difference looking like from a god roll koraxis's distress compared to a bipod apex predator? I have a koraxis's distress but it has awful rolls, just curious how much I'm losing out on from the 25% surge by not using it.
if i were you i'd try getting an edge transit with envious & bait n switch. doesnt matter what the rest is. i assume koraxis is ron GL & if it is then that thing is horrible imo. my team almost 2 phased caretaker & we 2 phased zo'aurc with edge transit. we all used parasite for atraks & 1 phased if you know about that strat. 3 of us on t crash cuirass & the 3 warlocks were on nova & strand. after the bottom team is done killing the servitors then tormentor then they go up top & the top team kills their servitor they left alive & then we all shot parasite & the 2 people that didnt pop their super popped it

@@beeman4266 spike grenades are still the play BUT if you dont have to have spike anymore. they nerfed it so every other mag is near the same dps. i wanna say spike does like 2% more damage than the other mags. i still would prefer having spike bc im a dps freak but ye its not required anymore to have it
@@SpartanOutlaw63 You weren't kidding. I tried out edge transit with spike grenades, envious and bait and switch. I was doing 5.8m on caretaker with the next person at 4.4m.. and I forgot about bait and switch.
Not sure what I did after properly using bait and switch since we killed it after that but it had to be high. There was a very clear difference between those of us using edge and transit and those that weren't. Crazy.
@@beeman4266 yeah bro NICE!! one time we had a bad run so we just wiped on 3rd floor. i was titan t crash cuirass with conditional, ikelos smg & edge transit(obv). i only t crashed on first floor & obv dps’d. 2nd floor i still was good on ammo & did a full dps rotation & i did 7.6 mill & the 2nd highest dps was 3.9mill. it’s crazy bro
So do you start the raid from the beginning and go until you get to the encounter or is there a way do immediately go to the encounter?

How did you get the RoN GL adept from planets, could you get all the adept weapons? If so that will be awesome wouldn't have to worry much about RoN patterns which I'm wanting to get them beofre Final shape, same with King's fall and Crota but sadly crota is not in pantheon. I don't know crota's end d2 any way.
I really want to do this but lfg is a pain and even though Ik the other encounters with a bit of a refresher I still don't know Caretaker and well we all know how the lfg is. I have my clan and they already have ppl picked out for jobs but idk if they'll help or not unfortunately.
idk if its just a random drop but i know when you complete the encounters within the time trial then thats when you get the adept weapons guaranteed. dont forget with adept weapons(ron adept so far obv) you can change the barrel & mag ONLY for crafting it. so if you get a W 3rd & 4th column & hopefully masterwork (i'd still keep it if you had a masterwork you dont like) then you're set. like when ron first came out i farmed the weapons, for example my rufus has reconstruction & frenzy which is what i wanted but it has a stability masterwork which is what i dont want. i want range mw but i kept it regardless
@@SpartanOutlaw63 darn I actually didn't know you could only change barrel and mags, I never got an adept weapon ever as I rarely raid. Oh well as long as I can get decent perks I'll still be okay not worrying about patterns hopefully. This goes for all adept raid weapons like King's fall and Vow as I forgot half of the perks in the game don't even need to be enhanced or you won't see a difference. Like incandescent only adds 5 more scorch stacks or bait and switch adds one whole second, and a bunch of others are very small differences.

Two of my teammates were dying constantly. It’s only 5 under. Kicked them out of day 1 team
as you should. its so aids having a team that some people arent that good. day one ron i had 2 bow hunter mains on my team & for planets they were using wishender & le monke to kill their colossus. like dude i wanted to guardian down myself. got it done thankfully. one of them arent on the team & i hope the other one wont be as well lmao

I've only done two raids wish an vault aftertaste I just couldn't find a group who willing to help a noob cause I have dont have any of the raid exoctic but this looks interesting might have to try an find a group who willing to take it slow an teach a noob lol

Does wipe = restart or is it checkpointed? This week seems so easy I haven’t seen anybody wipe on it yet. Also, farmable?
They purposely wiped at caretaker and spawned same place. Could be able to swap characters depending on the situation, but your score will probably take a hit
@@Harrison-zc3hu I saw there was a timer counting down. I know this influences score but if it runs out does it end the activity?
@@EggyWeggyIII Finishing the encounter within the timer seems to reward an adept drop. If finished after the timer, you just finish the encounter without bonus score and adept drop.

@@EggyWeggyIIIgod no if the timer ended and you didn’t kill the boss a reset would just piss off groups and cause internal problems. I’m glad they just don’t give you the adept drop if you don’t get it in time
Every group has a micro manager that has to tell people to grab ammo

I still don't understand some of the mechanics for caretaker and atraks. Only caretaker 3x and Atraks 6x.
Quick explanation shooting back of caretaker slows his moving to obelisk and where he comes there starts DPS. Shoot diamond go inside pick up three symbols someone shoots diamond to open door then shoot them at obelisk three times so 9 and then starts DPS

oh yeah it's gonna be fun doing this with strangers on fireteam finder that somehow all have no mic and the only 1 guy who have mic says he doesn't know the raid mechanic...as much as I want the raid exotic I'm gonna pass
so true. did fireteam finder last week for the first time. (last wish farming) and only max 2 dudes had mics and the rest were bots. garbage!

Fireteam Finders' biggest limitation is that the settings you place are "preferences" and won't restrict applications to your specifications.
@@benodoms5181 just finished my first clear of pantheon, used fireteam finder and took us 7 hours to beat with people leaving in and out but the core 5 of us stuck together and i think ive genuinely made some friends lol. turns out spending 7 hours together makes u closer huh....

I didn’t think they were actually going to be raid mechanics; i thought it was new strike like boss fights with a mechanic or two fighting each of the raid bosses ; with matchmaking. That was my assumption lol

This week you'll be capped at 5 below power level 4 bosses. As the weeks continue more bosses and less power. Finally week will be contest mode 20 power below cap.
There's a few changes, mostly just more things to shoot/shoot you. Check Eso's pinned comment for more details
Just more adds, basically no new mechanics other than the tormentor blocking mechanics for some of the encounters. Macrocosm and Atraks-1 notably, in those you need to kill tormentor to actually activate dps.

No these are raid encounters they need 6 people or at the very least 3 or 4
Even if it is solo it is not worth the trouble to solo all of these back to back.

Im finally comfortable with dungeons but not raids. LFG makes me super uncomfortable for raids otherwise id do them. Wow ruined me on lfg. If you didnt meet the approval of whatever group you rolled, youd get kicked. Some people are dumb about things.
This is to both of you… look at the raid guides on UA-cam get familiar with the encounters then you can be properly equipped for a raid team… start with kings fall or VOG learn the mechanics
Watching raid guides helps to a point. Gotta get in there and try it so you understand the different roles there are to each boss battle.

What is the point?? Anyone who has/can find a 6 person team is just gonna farm each weekly raid and already have everything. So why?? Why play segments of raids you've already completed time and time again? And then it will increase in difficulty each week for no real reason. No unique drops. Just play the Regular raid.
To be honest, it’s a real good opportunity to teach people who’s never raided before aspects of the raid but you know this community not gonna do that

find better raid groups. each full raid takes like 30 mins for my group

@@xXElement You can skip it entirely if you want but it offers a choice or chance(forget which) of select raid drop exotic/legendary weapons.

@@xXElement Youll get more? Its up to you. It doesnt add any new weapons. Its all based on the boss in rotation. Its a mashed up raid run based entirely around the boss encounters and missing the raid itself.
