Wow, you move with such ease and speed between chord shapes Larry...I can't think that fast and even if I did, I'd land on a wrong note! Lol Really great pickin' on a classic tune and on your beautiful Gibson...loved it!
Great song Larry, Bravo!!!! For the moment I'm handling a jazz acoustic guitar, very very old, with a tailpiece and arched at the back but flat at the top. If you like, take a look 😊😎!!!!
Thanks! All the Chet clones play it in key of A(and I did too!). But I rather like it better in key of G, it fits the original melody a little better there I think and you can get a lot of B/W's swing into it.
@@grateberk6435 Thats kinda what I was thinking. Also you can make that "A" up the neck at 1:02 & 1:50 & 2:00 and hang the thumb over 2 frets up like Merle Travis and get a very authentic sound.
Yes! I have a 1952 Gibson just like yours! They sound alike.
This one is a '49, so I'm told. It is beat up pretty good but it plays and sounds great.
wow enjoyed your excellent style of guitar performance Larry ,,,,,,,,,,greetings Renee
Thank you Renee. I'm glad you like it. 🎸
I'm Fernando, and hello from Brazil Larry. Amazing your work to saving the past. Nice job and playing🎶🎵.
Hello Fernando, Thank you, I'm glad you like. Thats what I do: guitar playing and 2 inch magnetic tape. I don't know how to do anything else! 😁
I love our Sunday morning get togethers!
Ah/Ha, a good ol Bob Wills song.
Excellent, as always.
Thanks James, I'm glad you like it! 😊🎸
Excellent picking! I love the thumbstyle version of this tune. Nice Gibson…now subbed!
It's an old and beat up L-7 but it does sound good and plays easy.

@@LarryOdham Thank you, sir.
I was just talking to a band mate about how it’d be hard to cover this one and not make it sound boring…and then you post this ripper version haha
I'm glad it helped!
