The 1947 pete has a nhrs cummins 180hp non turbo the transmissions looked like a 4 speed main and 3 speed auxiliary transmission with warm drive rear ends cummins use too be bright yellow back in the day
That's 1947 pete is our (Preferred Materials) truck. It's a 180 cummins from 1947, back then Cummins motors were painted gold. Closest thing to gold is old Caterpillar yellow. It also has a 4x3 transmission setup as well
Best video I've seen from there so far . most just walk around with music playing . No detais or talking at all . That i've seen yet . I wish i could have come up but couldn't make that happen .
Super cool to see. I had never seen the Keys themed trucks before. We have lived in the Keys for 11 years now. I want to try and make it to this show next year.
Hey Guys! Are there any Kenworth K-100's at the show? That's what I had! Class of '69! No front shocks, no front brakes, no power steering, and an air conditioner that didn't work, plus it was powered by a 318 Detroit. 8V71 for those that like to see it presented that way. Trucks from that era were trucks for sure!
These guys don't know what a k100 is. If it's not a 389, then they don't really care. They showed that w9 with an aerodyne sleeper and had no clue about it.
It's actually a TRUE 2 STICK configuration..... probably 5 spd. main thing auxiliary box looked to be a 8341? Wich back then would be overdrive.... not enough ponies, for Double O..... AWESOME TRUCK
You truck are some nice looking truck bro me and my grandson love's but you have to stop making them so nice because my grandson doesn't like my truck anymore guys give a guy a brake please guy's thanks from Scotland and you can tell that you guys are running on empty getting things rowing have a great weekend guys all the best I hope one of your trucks wins 🏆 good luck again 👍
Those Candido's tow trucks rolled by me when I was rolling through Louisville on Thursday. Was cool seeing all the trucks parked at the convention center when I was trucking through there. I'd love to have a custom truck some day.
Some beautiful trucks there! That '47 Pete is jaw dropping and not even completed yet. I know there's a really nice orange Peterbilt parked right near Bruce Wilson's Tratter Taxi that I'd like to see better shots of.
The deal with the yellow Cummins is that people will paint their Cummins yellow so they can get more power and dependability out of them. I hope this helps!
The"47" is a model 350 - sometimes called a "iron nose" - radiator was built out of cast iron . Pretty sure it's the only time Peterbilt built a cab over & a conventional truck with the same model number . That's why the poster ad has a picture of both. Very rare find probably why he didn't say where it came from .There about as common as a unicorn ...
I’ve tried calling and contacting you guys threw Facebook but still no response. I’m looking for a body shop to custom build my truck. Are you guys up to it?
Some really nice trucks! I love what you guys do also. My only complaint about MATS is guys like Bruce Wilson and Timmy Gentry who just buy trucks with UA-cam money and gets inside booths. When all these other guys and gals put years of hard work, sweat and tears into their builds and don’t get nowhere near the recognition.
Lots of sharp rigs there this year. Thanks for breaking up the videos so you can spend a little time with the ones that catch your eye. Brian, not knowing Snowman? #dammitbrian lol
Thanks for doing this guy's I hurt my leg this year and couldn't go but I'm getting to see it because of you and that means alot.
Nice meeting you today.
We love running into fans!

Thanks for the videos !
Great video Brian and Tom thanks for sharing 👍
Cummins used to paint their engines in a mustard color they called it "Cummins Gold" before swiching to Tan and now Red.
We walked the whole show, and it was great. Didn't see the SemiCasual guys, but saw many of the trucks you built.
Playing for Keeps and the Patriotic Freightliner cab over I like 👍

Thanks for chiming in!! That knowledge goes a little further back than we’re familiar with. Just had no clue what it was. LOL

I’m just getting into trucking at 38 yrs old and studying for my CDL. I really like the Peterbilt trucks

That color is known as Cummins gold used into the 60s before the switch to tan.

Great event I was there
Been wait on this video since I saw a peak of that blue international 9300

Wow. Some nice fancy trucks. What is more common: 379s or 389s?
👍👍

Brian, not knowing Snowman? #dammitbrian lol
Where do these people get these trucks rebuilt?
I can tell by that woman’s accent that is a southern girl. 🙂
My favorite trucks are the working class
Brian, you've said several times you all came down to the show..... aren't you guys in Tennessee???? Isn't MATS in Kentucky????
If we went 500 miles north to see someone, we would probably still say “come down” to see them. LOL. It’s our very country lingo.
can you guys do a internatinal flat nose on youtube channel rebuild just asking my friend
