That's Indonesian Gamelan, in this case is the Balinese Gamelan. There are 2 others which are Javanese and Sundanese. The Balinese sounds like "rock music", kinda fast. While the Javanese is classic, and Sundanese is more like "modern pop". The pentatonic scale on this kind of music is kinda interesting which make other musicians from another country/genre use it as sample.
Indonesian musical instrument = gamelan, whose musical instruments always use the characteristic pentatonic tone, which consists of 3 different types of gamelan according to the region. Balinese gamelan is dynamic with a medium to fast rhythm, Sundanese gamelan has a medium to fast rhythm which always depends on the rhythm of the drums and flutes, Javanese gamelan is always slow, melancholic and calm following the rhythm like a gentle breeze. Javanese gamelan can be therapeutic or a medium for meditation.

The oldest manuscript about gamelan is in Borobudur temple, Central Java. I think the purpose of it was for religious purposes due to the purpose of the temple and from mitology that i've heard. By this fact, we also know that first gamelan actually Javanese which has low-beat aransement due to the purposes but then spread out to its surrounding like east Java (sundanese) and Bali (balinese). Sundanese gamelan has faster beat than the (original) Javanese and balinese has the fastest. I learnt Javanese gamelan back then in junior high school because all of the student has to learnt that. From my understanding, gamelan has 2 scale systems of tone: slendro and pelog. Slendro has just 5 tones in an octave (1, 2, 3, 5, 6) while pelog already has 7. From this, you can see if slendro is the older. In my junior high school, we learnt 4 xylophone-like instrument with different pitch: saron, demung, Peking, slenthem (from the highest to the lowest). I played saron btw 😁 Beside that, we learnt Bonang Barung, Bonang Panerus, Kendang, Kendang Kempul, kenong, and Gong. You wanna know how we learnt that? We read that. And yes, we had 4 female sindhen. Fun fact gamelan also learn in Islamic preaching and communication faculty because it used for spreading Islamic value centuries ago by a man called Sunan Bonang. Some of the popular artist actually also a sindhen but not every sindhen is popular, because there's always a gap between purist and contemporary art. I listen some of the good sindhen but none of them are popular so it's hard for you to find it online. I can recommend you some name which has popularity, there're Soimah (Javanese) and Lesti, Sule, Rina Nose (Sundanese). Idk any of balinese sindhen. Meanwhile for gamelan, you can see its influence in some popular music like in mother earth by alffy rev, DPS by weird genius, tersimpan di hati by eka Gustiwana, and Ngeluwihi by Tiara Andini. There's one song that include Sundanese sindhen that i really like, it's revival by galaxy.

The first video that you watched was Balinese gamelan.. If you wanna listen Sundanese gamelan, try to react to YURA YUNITA - BANDUNG. Bandung is a region in West Java, where Yura is from. Yura sometimes put the traditional elements of Sundanese gamelan in her music . The BANDUNG MV is literally Sundanese music with Sundanese lyric. Yura's singing in Sundanese language in that song 😁
Fyi: Gamelan (javanese, sundanese or balinese) has 2 standard tuning slendro and pelog What you see in the video is balinese gamelan orchestra. Behind the 2 sided drum (kendang) is saron (in javanese, idk in balinese), the player has to control the resonance by placing their thumb after hit the note. Maybe some balinese can add these information since i'm javanese, idk very well about balinese gamelan
Indonesia is truly a large nation... we have more than 1700 islands, 1340 tribes, more than 300 ethnicities, 711 regional languages, and the 4th largest population in the world... so it's no wonder why we have so many cultures and other traditional things, including types of music, musical instruments and dances... keep finding out about our other nations and cultures
you already seen three traditional Indonesian musical instruments in Wonderland Indonesia : 1.Sape from Dayak tribe 2. Sasando from Rote island 3. Gamelan from Java & Bali island
This is Balinese gamelan so it is from Bali Indonesia. Besides this Balinese gamelan there a lot of gamelan in Indonesia such as Javenese Gamelan (they are from central java and east java) and the other from Sundanese Gamelan,it is from west java). Thanks so much your nice reaction guys.
Claude Debussy (yes that's his name) composed Pagodes because he got inspired by Gamelan when he visited Indonesia, since he didn't have gamelan instrument he had to emulate the sounds with his piano instead, but it has similar tunes with the real thing. Gamelan is also one of the musics chosen to be sent into the cosmos by NASA with their Voyager Golden Record, amongst others.
😅😅 Kinds of Flowers judulnya dalam bahasa inggris di ciptakan sekitar tahun 1800 an. 😊😊
You have to come to indonesia and learn about culture and traditional music .indonesia is rich about the culture .in the video just show you a litle from the music traditional in indonesia.o...yeah...that's gamelan from bali in video has you seen.and in the another area have a traditional music others.😊
Honestly, it's very difficult to explain traditional/folk musical instruments in Indonesia, too much bro. Even as an Indonesian, I was taught when I was in elementary school. Nowadays, I forget a lot of the names and how many traditional musical instruments Indonesia has. Reminds me of the time before elementary school graduation when I had to choose 1 musical instrument that I could be played and 1 regional traditional dance that had to be performed as one of my final assignments, but I had forgotten all of that right now 😂. In fact, there are so many as many islands Indonesia has and it's hard to remember.😅
Berharap suka dgn budaya Indonesia yg bermacam2 suku budaya...... selamat' menikmati....sehat selalu ya sobatku...... Tulungagung Jawa Timur Indonesia menonton vlog Anda
Thanks for reaction Indonesian Traditional Music, Gamelan .. Indonesia have many kind of original music genre too, like Keroncong, Damgdut, and Koplo... Please react to one of them... You guys will love its ...
Its because the instruments are not at 440hz. Most of gamelans are slightly below 440. Its on weird frequencies. 😂😂 Fyi : Few bands try to fuse gamelan with modern western instrument. One got quite close. The band called KRAKATAU. The keyboardist have to change all the keys pitch as close as possible to the gamelan.
Kalau anda senang dengan gambelan Bali Indonesia, setiap tahun ada Festival gong kebyar di Bali, bulan Juni - Juli di Art centre Denpasar Bali, silahkan nonton selama 1 bulan penuh, sangat ramai, 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
i am originally indonesian ... As a native citizen, I have had difficulty learning gamelan for decades. so beautiful but complicated to learn. poor me. that is gamelan from Bali.. there are gamelan from central java, east java, west ajava/sunda, and a lot
Gamelan from Bali is the most of dynnamic tarditional music. You also can find another gamelan from Java (Est Java, Central, Jawa and West Java) which area has different even just a litle but it' makes an identity of each area. Indonesian musicians have tried to mix between the gamelan and modern musics as an experimental. From that points obtained enrichment of musicality Indonesia musicians and singers.
There are many traditional musical instruments in Indonesia, one of which is the gamelan. What you are watching is the Balinese gamelan, and there is also the Javanese gamelan.
This is Bali Gamelan, there is many version of Gamelan ensemble, there is BALI, JAVANESE, SUNDANESE and in Malaysia there is an adopted version of Javanese GAMELAN which is call MALAY GAMELAN , brought in 200 years ago by local rulers from Java to Malaya and have a completely different tone and songs. Each one have it own unique style of playing but the basic Instrument is the same. The metallic sound you heard came from the GAMBANG, its made out of bronze!
Gamelan or the GAMBANG BRONZE MUSICAL INSTRUMENT first introduce to Indonesia during the Srivijaya Empire 1000 years ago from CHINA. Chinese in ancient times before they were famous with strings instrument used to have lot of bronze musical instrument but now its uncommon in China but remain in Indonesia and many other South East Asian countries like Malaysia, Filipins, and Cambodia. that used a lot of bronze musical instrument.
Hai I always watch every video of yours It seems like you rarely talk about treasure, they have just finished their Japan tour and will continue their Asia tour in the middle of this year I recommend their "Treasure Reboot Encore yokohama -"MMM", "I want your love", "let it burn". " I bet you'll really like it, and of course "IT'S LIVE VOCALS "🔥🔥 They really went crazy on fire with their new song Let It Burn, This has been trending for the last few weeks on TikTok Hopefully you will react and have a nice day LET IT BURN NO LIMITS GO CRAZY 🔥🔥
What's interesting about gamelan is how they forge metal to produce certain notes. an example of gamelan, "kyai Kanjeng" pentatonic do, re, mi, "sel" not sol, and la. This is due to the character of the metal resulting from the forging.
Its so nice to see how you guys rect to it. I can see how you appreciate it more than most of our people (Indonesian) did, especially the young people. Even there are people who afraid of hearing it, because it sounds so mystical, they afraid the music will calling the ghost. If you wanna hear the full instrument of gamelan jawa maybe you can use this keyword "wayang kulit".
Well, depends on the situation. I love gamelan musics as long as i know WHERE IT CAME FROM. Love gamelan at pentas seni or events, but if i hear gamelan music in the afternoon at my school where there's NO GAMELAN EQUIPMENTS in the radius of 500m, you bet imma ran the hell out of there
Ah, no wonder as musicians you wondered who leads the pace! 👍 In a Balinese gamelan ensemble, the guy you see in the middle acts as the concertmaster like a violinist in a western orchestra, that’s why his seat is higher so the rest of the players can see him. But when the drummers come in, they also share the responsibility to maintain the tempo. You should also try and have a listen to Javanese or Sundanese gamelan where the drummer is the main concertmaster. If Balinese is a rapid waterfall, Javanese gamelan is a gentle stream. They’re similar but very different.
The Renaissance period of Indonesia traces back to its ancient Hindu kingdoms of Srivijaya and Majapahit empires where culture, architectures, arts, dances and instrumental music flourish. Example, the Hikayat Ramayana depicted in traditional Balinese dances and played along with such music instruments quite popular and always remain spectacular. The true beauty of Indonesia and it's people.
There are many kinds of gamelan in Indonesia. Gamelan from Java, Gamelan from Bali, Gamelan from Minang, Gamelan from Banjar, gamelan from sunda. What you see is gamelan from Bali. Gamelan Bali is very different from Java gamelan. Gamelan in Bali has a fast rhythm, gamelan in Java has a soft rhythm and a little slow. I am so glad you learned about traditional musical instruments in Indonesia. And Gamelan only one of the many traditional musical instruments in Indonesia. In each of the provincial areas in Indonesia have its own traditional musical instruments, such as examples of Sasando, Angklung, gamelan, and other forth
what you are discussing is Balinese gamelan... On the island of Java there are several types of gamelan. Try listening to Sundanese gamelan and Javanese gamelan. You will find a new experience in traditional Indonesian music, especially from the island of Java
Love this reaction so much! There are many more music ensembles from other regions such as kolintang (north sulawesi) Angklung and Degung (Sunda, West Java) and Javanese Gamelan (Central Java), Gambang Kromong (Jakarta). And also music instruments, such as Sape (Kalimantan) and Sasando ( NTT). Nice reaction👍
FYI Saya pernah belajar gamelan.
There are more than 1,340 ethnic groups in Indonesia. Additionally, every ethnic group has unique cultural practices, such as music and musical instruments. Only a small portion has been made known to the world thus far.
this from bali, you can also find gamelan from java( east, central and west java) same name ( gamelan), but totally different, maybe someday you can react too🙏🙏
in Indonesia there is the Javanese version of gamelan (Yogyakarta style & Surakarta style) there is the Sundanese gamelan & what you see is the Balinese version of gamelan, making gamelan musical instruments should not be done carelessly, gamelan metal materials are also a choice, there are iron, brass and bronze and the best materials Gamelan is made of bronze & making gamelan is also not easy because sometimes it has to be accompanied by fasting and prayer, there are even gamelans in Java that can be infused with spirits, sometimes at night there is a set of gamelan that can sound on its own without being hit.
You can watch the Gamelan Javenese with dances such as: Gatotkoco Gandrung, Srikandi Cakil, Janoko Cakil, etc.Or you can watch the Javanese,Balenese or Sundanese Gamelans from Southbanks Gamelan.
You already listen 0,00000000001% of traditional music from Indonesia. 🎉
But Gamelan is more popular than others.
😂👍
The comma says that is 1%

The first video that you watched was Balinese gamelan..
If you wanna listen Sundanese gamelan, try to react to YURA YUNITA - BANDUNG.
Bandung is a region in West Java, where Yura is from.
Yura sometimes put the traditional elements of Sundanese gamelan in her music .
The BANDUNG MV is literally Sundanese music with Sundanese lyric. Yura's singing in Sundanese language in that song 😁
Also please react to tari kecak from bali, it's a balinese traditional dance. In indonesia "Tari" means dance, thats why its called tari kecak
Fyi: Gamelan (javanese, sundanese or balinese) has 2 standard tuning slendro and pelog
What you see in the video is balinese gamelan orchestra.
Behind the 2 sided drum (kendang) is saron (in javanese, idk in balinese), the player has to control the resonance by placing their thumb after hit the note.
Maybe some balinese can add these information since i'm javanese, idk very well about balinese gamelan

Kinds of Flowers judulnya dalam bahasa inggris di ciptakan sekitar tahun 1800 an. 😊😊

In ancient times, areas that could make musical instruments from iron or metal had high civilization...
In fact, there are so many as many islands Indonesia has and it's hard to remember.😅
halo , waleska efra apa kabar , ayo jangan lihat vidio aja datang langsung ke indonesia pasti senang orangnya ramah"

Fyi : Few bands try to fuse gamelan with modern western instrument. One got quite close. The band called KRAKATAU. The keyboardist have to change all the keys pitch as close as possible to the gamelan.
This is a Balinese gamelan group contest with beautiful rhythms

Gamelan from Bali is the most of dynnamic tarditional music. You also can find another gamelan from Java (Est Java, Central, Jawa and West Java) which area has different even just a litle but it' makes an identity of each area. Indonesian musicians have tried to mix between the gamelan and modern musics as an experimental. From that points obtained enrichment of musicality Indonesia musicians and singers.
Finally..🎉.but its only one from many traditional musik in indonesia. You have to watching gamelan from java , from sundanese, angklung and many more.
There are many traditional musical instruments in Indonesia, one of which is the gamelan. What you are watching is the Balinese gamelan, and there is also the Javanese gamelan.
You can come to Bali and watch it live 🥰
Love from Bali, Indonesia ❤
Hai I always watch every video of yours
It seems like you rarely talk about treasure, they have just finished their Japan tour and will continue their Asia tour in the middle of this year

They really went crazy on fire with their new song Let It Burn, This has been trending for the last few weeks on TikTok
Hopefully you will react and have a nice day

NO LIMITS
GO CRAZY 🔥🔥
They are amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥
OMGGG congrats for the 1 million subs!🎉
Gamelan music is also studied at several universities in the US and Europe.
Selamat atas pencapaiannya 1 juta subscrible👍👍👍👍
What's interesting about gamelan is how they forge metal to produce certain notes. an example of gamelan, "kyai Kanjeng" pentatonic do, re, mi, "sel" not sol, and la. This is due to the character of the metal resulting from the forging.
Thanks for reactions bro, may God bless you and your channel
Its so nice to see how you guys rect to it. I can see how you appreciate it more than most of our people (Indonesian) did, especially the young people. Even there are people who afraid of hearing it, because it sounds so mystical, they afraid the music will calling the ghost. If you wanna hear the full instrument of gamelan jawa maybe you can use this keyword "wayang kulit".
Well, depends on the situation. I love gamelan musics as long as i know WHERE IT CAME FROM. Love gamelan at pentas seni or events, but if i hear gamelan music in the afternoon at my school where there's NO GAMELAN EQUIPMENTS in the radius of 500m, you bet imma ran the hell out of there
Yes Bali music tradisional
You must be hearing and watching too kidung sunda with kecapi cause thats can touch your heart ❤❤love Indonesia
And you have to know that Gamelan in Bali vs Java vs Sunda is different.. you must check the gamelan performance together with their singer 👌🏼👌🏼
FYI
Saya pernah belajar gamelan.
This is bali vibe .. in indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩NAME INSTRUMENT is GAMELAN . METAL PLAT . DRUM . FLUTE . GONG .
There are more than 1,340 ethnic groups in Indonesia. Additionally, every ethnic group has unique cultural practices, such as music and musical instruments. Only a small portion has been made known to the world thus far.
Terimakasih banyak ❤ 🇮🇩
Feels like you entered the other dimension, the spirit world. Yeah, that Balinese Gamelan. Heaven!
Please react to the Philippine Madrigal Singers singing an Indonesian Folk Song called Laskar Pelangi.
Gamelan is traditional metal instrument has unique sound and has complicated fast rhytm like jazz
this from bali, you can also find gamelan from java( east, central and west java)
same name ( gamelan), but totally different, maybe someday you can react too🙏🙏
You must watching jaipongan folk dance from West java Indonesia
I Will waiting for u in Indonesia
thaaaanks mas and mba brooo
in Indonesia there is the Javanese version of gamelan (Yogyakarta style & Surakarta style) there is the Sundanese gamelan & what you see is the Balinese version of gamelan, making gamelan musical instruments should not be done carelessly, gamelan metal materials are also a choice, there are iron, brass and bronze and the best materials Gamelan is made of bronze & making gamelan is also not easy because sometimes it has to be accompanied by fasting and prayer, there are even gamelans in Java that can be infused with spirits, sometimes at night there is a set of gamelan that can sound on its own without being hit.
You can watch the Gamelan Javenese with dances such as: Gatotkoco Gandrung, Srikandi Cakil, Janoko Cakil, etc.Or you can watch the Javanese,Balenese or Sundanese Gamelans from Southbanks Gamelan.
This is Balinese gamelan, there are also Javanese gamelan if you interested to react to that later.
