It was the most difficult rhythmic piece I ever played myself as a trombonist. At least I remember this as such. But the most is done by feeling the music and the rhythm, which is pretty good possible in this piece. We were the first one to play it in Germany. The only piece I ever played where the whole brass section was pretty much deaf after it.
This is the essence of NYC if I ever hear it. Just brings it all to mind.
Loved playing this. I've played all four DeMeij symphonies and they're all spectacular.
