The 7000 is a great planter. I have schaffert Mohawk closing wheels on mine and love them. Also replaced gauge wheel arms replaced with Shoup replacements that use a 5/8 bolt to mount wheel bearing. Shoup sells a bearing to replace the original stem bearing..
Thanks for the tip. I have the monitor set to "scan" so it shows the population for each row. Every once in a while row two acts up, but I find the problem is usually in the square plug going to the tractor.

Thanks for the info. She is starting to show some wear.
Those are great old planters. Do you like it better than the Kinze? Was it hard to find a head for the Gehl chopper?
The Kinze and the 7000 have very similar row units. It does look like the corn came up more even with the Kinze though.
@@farmcards I think there the same row units cause kinze stole the patent from John Deere cause John Deere never got the patent for the row units
Just to let you know. You need five seed shoot sensors. All rows should be blinking as you plant.
I run a brush up the seed chutes. Sometimes that help.

Dont you have a 826 also
yes we still have the 826. It is currently running the silage bagger and can be a pain to unhook.
