If you are running a zombie world version of Eldlich. Since you can just use super poly because if you have the golden Lord on the field. And zombie world is up and running you can just use any of your opponents level five or higher monsters. Doomking is also available target for a fusion. Because Eldlich does have their own fusion card it’s just nobody uses it because it isn’t the meta. So yes you don’t have to run hundreds of floodgates I know mine blown.
The back and forth in the beginning of the duel with eldich and dark magician killing each other and then immediately reviving gave me flash backs of the anime with yugi and arcana and it's great!

I had one myself with Charmer vs Musketeers where it just devolved into summon attack since boss monsters were literal minus 1 monster on field. I prefer combo deck back and forth than negate every other play to force the game to just be attack with big numby until opponent can't play.
This duel was just hilarious. Reminds me of the things I was doing with my friend every time we dueled with specific decks of ours. The whole back and forth was tense and just funny

It was not. The reason it wasn't is because Eldlich dude is the biggest monkey in master duel. When you bring Eldlich back from the GY, you don't have to summon him. You can keep him in your hand, then use the hand effect to send a card from the field to the GY. Quintet Magician should have died on turn 5, and that shit lasted for THIRTEEN turns.
Had a match recently where I went up against Eldlich with my rogue deck version of Shaddolls. He made the mistake of lowering the attack of every monster on the field and I was like "... ... ... Okay." Summoned Numeron Dragon and it was gg. *queue Beethoven Jutsu clip*
i would love to see a Jinzo negate everything a Eldlich has or labyrinth deck. since they rely on trap cards. or something along those lines were they cant activate any trap cards.
imma be honest, quintet magician is a bit weak for a 5 monster fusion summon since its only protection is it cant be destroyed by card affects, which leaves pretty big hole for non destruction removal

Ive fun fortune fairy quintet turbo which spams a bunch of 0/0 spellcasters with different names and then turns into a 4500/4500 when they combine for quintet lol. But, I guess the Eldlich player didn't know what his own deck packs. (Considering the player has a default avatar pic and the default field, he probably has copied the most successful deck and had been winning all his duels since he started playing and didn't got to use Liebe at all, since most of the players would scoop the moment floodgates are activated.)
