- भारतीय ख़ुफ़िया एजेंसी ‘रॉ’ में विशेष सचिव रहे तिलक देवेशेर की हाल ही में एक किताब आई है ‘पाकिस्तान एट द हेल्म’ जिसमें उन्होंने 1947 से लेकर अब तक के पाकिस्तानी शासकों के जीवन के दिलचस्प पहलुओं को उजागर करने की कोशिश की है.
मोहम्मद अली जिन्ना न सिर्फ़ पाकिस्तान के संस्थापक थे, बल्कि उसके पहले गवर्नर जनरल भी थे. पाकिस्तानी शासकों के जीवन पर श्रंखला की पहली कड़ी में रेहान फ़ज़ल नज़र डाल रहे हैं मोहम्मद अली जिन्ना के उथल-पुथल भरे जीवन पर.

Some of Pakistan's real life stories read like a tragic novel. How sad that Jinnah was able to get a separate state but it did not have resources for the refugees, did not have resources for even their own people.

It was also Nehru who rejected the ABC plan, while Jinnah had agreed to it. Jinnah also suffered from Tuberculosis and had nothing personal to gain from the creation of Pakitan
And FYI, Pakistan was made an Islamic Republic many years later after Jinnahs death.

It is most unkind to say, that the brief, which Jinnah was holding, was written and dictated by the British. Nothing could be further than the truth. It is true, that the British, as the rulers, wanted to divide the 2 communities, Hindus and Muslims. Jinnah knew that from the start and for that reason, he had opposed, the creation of separate electoral rolls for the Muslims, which was the demand of the then Muslim League, who looked to the British for protection. It is also a fact, that Jinnah had joined the Congress Party, and remaed its member. He made every effort possible, to bring the 2 communities together. The Lucknow Pact is the living example. Jinnah wanted safeguards for the Muslim community, which was agreed between the outgoing Congress president, Maulana Azad, Jinnah and the Cabinet Mission, but was scuttled by the incoming Congress president, Mr Nehru. According to the book "The Shameful Surrender" by Stanley Wolpert, he even agreed and welcomed the idea of a third Dominion of undivided Bengal and once again it was Nehru, who opposed it. If one were to look back, one cannot, forget the negative role played by the Congress under Nehru.
