    Tip for next time. There is something called low melt solder. You mix that in and it makes it so much easier to get the part out. Just don't use it for soldering.

      @@electronictreasure4191 Also a better iron tip would be great, those default conical ones struggle to transfer enough heat per time due to too little contact area (round pin, round tip -> super small contact area). Thus you needed much solder even for the easier pins. A flat chisel tip would have been better, or a chisel tip with the main area contacting the board. Low melt would not been needed.

      PS: would have helped for the soldering, too, especially those on the ground planes still seem kinda blobby and cold where the solder clearly hasn't wetted nicely.

      No. That's what solder flux is for. Low melt solder is brittle and doesn't make a good connection. I strongly recommend good old leaded solder with flux. Low melt is only for removing components @@insanedruid3143

    Instead of using bulky pliers you'd rather work with tweezers.

      Hi I did actually switch to tweezers in the video quickly after trying pliers. :)
