- This is Sienna's first movie project,I fell in love with her character Fenella Maxwell.I love that girl.
HERE'S the PLOT.
Arrogant aristocrat Rupert Campbell-Black has a high social position, woman at his feet, money and fame in the world of show jumping. But Rupert has a rival - the brooding gypsy Jake Lovell, whose loathing for the Pin Up of Penscombe has driven him to the top of the riding world to match Rupert's skills. A bitter feud festers between the two stars, who have fought and fornicated their way round the show rings of the world, and now come to a showdown at the Lod Angeles Olympics. As rivals in love and sport, the stage is set for what becomes a compulsive blend of sex, romance, and adventure. - Розваги
Sienna Guillory's father Isaac Guillory was one of the best guitarists I have ever heard, he was also a very nice guy. I put a couple of his songs, as a tribute to him, on my channel. What a talented family! Thanks for uploading this series, I didn't know it existed....read the book years ago, it was different, but it would have been impossible to replicate the book faithfully for tv....not to mention the production cost.
hahahahaha!
Thanks for the series... being dying to catch it and even though its doesn't do the book justice... still nice to know how someone else imagined it. Bravo!
Charming and gloriously silly :D God I love this series and the book :D
Thanks for uploading! I think they did a good job considering how long the book is
Enjoyed that.
Rupert certainly got his comeuppance , could not have happened to a nicer guy HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, great upload Marko.Kudos
Absolutely!
If you did not read the book, it was okay. Book was really so much better. Of course, it is hard to squeeze a 900 page book into 3 hours.
Thanks for uploading this and even though it's quite far removed from the book, it was fun to watch again. Also fun was seeing Sienna Guillory as Fenella Maxwell. The first time I watched Resident Evil Apocalypse and saw Jill Valentine on screen, I thought that I knew her from somewhere, not even twigging that I'd seen her a decade earlier as Fen! She kicks arse as Jill Valentine though, big style!
Your welcome :) Sienna was breathtakingly beautiful even as a teenager. When I was younger I was totally in love with her :) I just love her looks and her femininity :)
Thank you for this Marko. I brought this on vhs all those years back after watching this on TV. I loved Fen as a character. So young and living in an adult world, guided thankfully by Jake.
Who could not love Billy as a character? My goodness to put up with that Janey, who was nothing really but a media whore, looking for her next bread and butter.
I did read the book back then after this series. Yes it is different. I read Polo also, where as Fen is a similar portrayal to later 'Perdita MacLeod'.
The series brought a glossy, romantic, sexually charged energy to our screens (read the books). Watching it back now, it makes me sad that 80's have gone by so fast forgotten. The innocence of the soundtrack used in the jolly, peaceful/tranquil settings. The excitement of them very important fence approaches. I still clapped with excitement when Jake got his clear. RCB got what he deserved by McCauley putting him out of the finals.
RCB do you know never to stand behind a horse?
Thank my obsession towards Sienna Guillory because that's what made this channel LOL Anyway most people complain how the series are nothing like the book. I appreciate your support. You are welcome!
Yes it's all very cheesy.
Without 'Sienna Guillory'. I doubt if people would even know this existed.
I did once get a copy of 'Riders' on DVD, . A freebie in 'The Mail'. lol
Never mind but thank you again for trip down memory lane.
Couldn't any of them be faithful !
Who is here because of Bubbles de Vere of Little Britain? :-D
So tell me did Helen end up with Melis the selector??
Yeah, this did nothing for the story in the book. its really a shame.
"GET A BLOOOOOOOOODY DOCTOR!" I've just invented the Riders drinking game... 1 quaff for when somebody shows breasts. 2 quaffs for when somebody drinks. 3 quaffs for when Rupert insults Jake. Down the whole thing for when somebody says "FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!"
Rupert was a sod but charming nonetheless...this guy captures absolutely NOTHING about his character here. Would have been nice to see the story develop between Fen and Billy too...About the only thing they got right was Helen, lol.
Its supposed to be his shoulder and at the Olympics in Los Angeles he wins the gold while heavily drugged on morphine! Jake orders gazpacho soup not realizing it's meant to be cold. Oh, and he makes his bad in the hotel.
@Galijabre4Sienna - my god, you know who you remind me of? Rupert Campbell-Black tormenting Jake Lovell! Didn't Jilly Cooper teach you ANYTHING?!!!
Crap. Nothing like the book.
Well if I hadn’t of read the book I would have enjoyed it more.. jilly coopers ending much better.. why was it changed
to make it shorter
I agree....the book was so intense.
