I don't remember these 1/8th rc's being THIS fast back in the 90s. Has the tech improved that much since then? Yeah, I've been out of the loop for almost 20 years, lol.

Technology never stops going forward, nowadays these engines output about 3hp, for a 3kg car that's the power to weight ratio of an LmP1 car. Add to that the developments in body aerodynamics, foam tires and suspension and that's about all there is to be said !

Been watching alot of these videos and would like to give some advice. Turn down commentator volume, turn up track volume. Us nitro heads need to hear those awesome engines better!

these engines turn about as many revolutions in an hour as a semi truck turns in a year driving 40 hours a week.

Less than 2 minutes in; I'm already dizzy. 😵
0:52:10 Disgraceful marshalling. That car clearly developed a serious problem. Initial observations were either front one-way bearing related or driver error. Second time out it was clearly electrical. It should not have been returned to the track.
Further, the driver would have been aware he had an electrical problem and should have acted immediately, returning his car to the marshal instead of attempting to continue running. That's what I would have done and signaled that marshal to kill the engine. Could have taken out another car..
