Race is presented by the left in exactly the same way, as a war to be won by one race or another. Nkrumah won and messed up Ghana. Mugabe won and messed up Zimbabwe. Malema will mess up next, and South Africa will miss Mandela. Patrice Lumumba was peculiar, because he was assassinated by RINOs, which are the faction of appeasing the left. The party of racism became the party of Wokeness and the party of NATO and Ukraine. The left treats Clarence Thomas like an evolué: they spit in his face and call him ape. Only a black conservative gets this treatment. Boulé members get the red carpet greeting. They been blaming Russia since before I was born.
The day all African youth agree to the wise saying of Prof. P. L. O Lummba,Afruca will start being better. Mentor to all patriotic citizens in Africa. I love this man

My girl sent me this video because I've already ays told her the idea that women were oppressed in Africa is a colonial narrative but she's ways disagreed with me. I my culture, women are very important even though you might not see the on the frontline. There're decisions that a man cannot make without the support of the wife.

Came for Feminism, left with a whole political discourse. Always striking the cord, which makes the most resonance.
I think Prof contradicts himself while trying to thread the needle. In one instance he says "what a man can do a woman can do"... then later "there are things only women can do... and things only men can do". I agree with the latter and see the former as PC speak to pander to feminists. Men and women are very different creatures and are not interchangeable. We are complimentary and Africa had perfected that ying/yang interplay.
Men dominate the economic space because when whites arrives men left the village to seek food for their families. the wife remained behind with the kids. This made 100% sense. it was not a denial of rights to women, it was a practical, pragmatic, rational and necessary strategy for survival that the two complement each other. White people chose to portray it as the oppression of women and they have sustained that propaganda for decades. We need to counter it or else watch our own society collapse as is happening in the USA.
Actually, most things men can do women can do. It is not as clear as the staunch defenders a patriarchy claim. For example, men on average are better athletes, but there are some women who are stronger than some men. Women excel at aesthetic sports like figure skating. If PLO Lumumba means that most things men do can be done by women, he is not contradicting himself. He is not politically correct about affirmative action. He should talk to Clarence Thomas.

We all know how often he's criticized external influences, particularly those of Western nations, for Africa's problems. Many of us, including myself, have taken issue with his seemingly constant blame on the West. It felt as if he overlooked the internal problems that we as Africans must address ourselves, or sometimes mixes them up, giving the impressions that the west is more to blame for our predicaments.
However, this latest discourse represents a significant shift in his analysis. This time, he has taken a comprehensive look at the issues plaguing our continent without attributing blame to external forces. He has clearly acknowledged our internal struggles, focusing on the issues of governance, corruption, lack of proper education, and infrastructure, among others.
While the impact of colonization and Western interference cannot be disregarded, it's refreshing and empowering to see Professor Lumumba address the changes that we can and should initiate from within. In acknowledging our responsibility for our progress, he's inspiring Africans to be architects of our destiny.
This approach doesn't absolve the historical injustices done to us, but rather encourages us to take control of our future. It fosters a proactive attitude instead of a reactive one.
For me, this is Professor Lumumba at his best - clear-eyed about our past, yet focused on what we can do to shape our future. I believe we all need to take a moment and consider the constructive potential of his new outlook. Let's use this as a platform to discuss ways we can actionably improve our societies, rather than focusing on assigning blame.
I disagree...PLO has been very very consistent in highlighting the problems with facts and offering solutions.
But don't forget I still respect your opinion🙏 What is important is for us as individuals, communities and countries to act on his counsel and change the trajectory of our destinies🙏

I just think so much ego in politics and policymaking professions. Peace negotiations in AU require so many women at forefront. Coups and country clashes emulate from power obsessions as result of high egoism.

Address the problem of many Africans expecting someone out there to do critical thinking and creative thinking . We are more than able and in a complementary role to the world. I have a question. If you consider Africa a Country and not a Continent, starting at the Top, Egypt and down to South Africa, You have over a Billion citizens. Trying to build up the structure that works together. The reality is the concept of how things work are based on western ideas. If you consider, first to build up the COUNTRY introduce the concept of Volunteerism for everyone. Teachers, in every aspect of 'engineering' and nation building. Using teaching at the first stage of development. Teachers would receive anything they need to survive from those who have the ability to distribute and use of their own ability. Leave politics out of it. You have a COUNTRY with the ability to control not only your own Country but be in the lead to help other nations needing assistance. This must be tried in least one state of Africa. In my view as long as you need HELP from outside Africa it will continue that way. out of over Billion citizens, I know you know, you have the ability to change what is happening.

I think it's not because women are powerful in certain African community where women are in control - farming, tilling of the ground, building of homes and feeding of the children that i noticed in some Eastern, and southern African Countries, rather, their men are weak. And I notice the same in Togo too when I travelled there.
20:44 We are not purposefully leaving home. We have no jobs in Kenya. Years after graduation, you're still walking around tarmacking. It is a hard but necessary decision. To go and make a living, then come back home to try and improve the situation.

In my understanding and I hope most men and women can understand this feminism is the energy that a woman carries naturally within herself to pursue her daily endeavors in Society, however society has digressed from the true meaning of what the practice of femininity is all about making it look like its the act of women TRYING TO BE MEN OR TRYING TO BE HARD HEADED TOWARDS MEN which according to my understanding is not the true definition of feminism. By nature women are nurturers but for a long time women's voices have not been considered and their ability and capabilities have often been suppressed to empower men. The reason why women have come up with "feminism " is to articulate the power in spirit one holds by being a woman and how she extracts authority from her surrounding to get her status
Brother you confuse feminine or feminity with feminism, linguistically they could be the same thing but socially today they're two different things, two totally opposite things, feminism is the opposite of a woman being feminine. Feminism is a woman losing her feminity n she becomes masculine, acting like a man, in other words, feminists are male wannabees
Well said... Upon reading on African Queens , they were advisors and held authority centuries ago and led with grace and femininity. Feminism is a western phenomenon adopted by white women after WW3 and during economic boom in the US to challenge their white husbands because they wanted to work. Its not a African ideology and its a label imposed on African women to date. Cultural and Religious leaders panicked from seeing a revolution which could shake their systems. So that's how women presence and authority in key roles were also played down in Africa.
African women never said they wanted to challenge men. Its a natural and innate power which I think we hold even if we don't hold powerful positions. So agree with you on many points.
The correct word for this innate power is womanism. I just think feminist is a label forced and tainted already. But i like your comment altogether.
We need an African social media platform please without the western influence without eastern influence. One where we can share ideas as young people & push each other forward.

Australia took South Sudanese on resettlement purely to work in factories but when they realized South Sudanese prioritise going to schools once there Australia stopped the resettlement for South Sudanese and instead prefer to take from other countries.
