Some other costarican exotic fruits besides those ones are star apple, star fruit, cas, jorco, ice cream bean, níspero, manzana de agua, manzana rosa, gummy worm fruit, monstera deliciosa, icaco, acerola, zapote, naranjilla, carao, yuplon, mimbro, guayaba de mono, tucuico, granadilla, uchuva, jabuticaba, fruta mágica...and yet many more

A great reason to eat your fruits! Love this video. It's interesting to see fruits from different parts of the world, especially over in Costa Rica. Definitely looking forward to a part 2 of this for sure. Dragonfruit and rambutans are fruits that are common in Asian countries as well so it's cool to see the overlap between Asia and Costa Rica (and other Latin countries as well).
    Pura vida!
    Timestamp comments:
0:42 I see dragonfruit and rambutan haha; the rest I don't know from the start
1:20 - 1:32 Wow, those look massive haha. We also have those in the States but you can usually find them in Asian supermarkets and they are smaller than those you have there
1:55 - 1:57 Yeah sometimes I do that but I also use my hands :)
3:45 - 3:52 I love grapes! I love the sour and sweetness to it. I imagine I would probably like a lot of these Costa Rican fruits then :)
5:15 - 5:21 I used to eat papayas when I was a teenager but not so much anymore. Probably wouldn't like the yellow mangosteen either haha
6:15 - 6:22 The chalky texture could be something that can help whiten your teeth maybe? Haha just kidding. Hot take but I actually like having that kind of chalky feeling on my teeth.
8:17 - 8:40 I like how soft dragonfruit is and it is peculiar in that the flavor is almost non-existent. Definitely better to get like dragonfruit flavored stuff because they have accentuated flavor than actual dragonfruit themselves haha. Probably was overhyped
because of its unique structure or something; but yeah probably not worth buying consistently due to price and lack of flavor.
    11:32 - 11:34 An aphrodisiac eh? Lol!

Yess! Thanks Tony! I had thought that dragon fruit and rambutans were common in asia! (I wonder if the tico name "mamon chino" has something to do with this!) - for the longest time I thought they were the same as Lychee!
Haha, I had originally planned on opening the rambutan with my hands, but i would have to dig my nail into it and I felt like my nails were too weak in the moment 😅
Grapes are the best! Papayas, I dunno, I've never really loved them, just not very flavorful - but Luis did teach me that they are very tasty blended with milk - super creamy, almost like blended avocado... wait, did Papaya vanilla ice cream just come into my mind? 😮 But yeah, the yellow mangstan is strange lol
That's interesting that you enjoy the chalky texture!!! I wish I could enjoy it, for me its just strange
I haven't tried even an artificial dragon fruit flavor, now I need to get my hands on some to see what that would be like!
Thanks so much for enjoying Tony! Pura Vida 😎🏃
