Couple of little things to add.. use tombstone while in your D&D, just more damage. Stats, you want your haste to be between 24 to 27%. When in your D&D you should be well over 30% which is enough. This will help smooth out your rotation. I literally only have 3% vers with 70%mast. It feels really good. Rune tap is a net loss over all. Taking a rune to use the button puts you behind on runic power generation that can be spent on more damage or a death strike. Better to learn to live without it and trust your deathstrikes with good timing. Bdk is my favorite tank by far! I have 5 tanks all geared past 441 currently, but always main my 446 blood dk.
There a a few nieche cases I would take runetap. In season 3 in high Murozond rise keys (fort or Tyrann) it has great value on bosses or trash. In high Tyrann DHT you need it for Oakheart alone. And it’s not terrible in High waycrest keys (while bringing soulbound Goliath to a fire patch etc.). But in everything below 25/26 i would never take it.
For a beginner DK: NEVER prio crit over Haste (to at least 25-30), getting to 1 sec global is so important for blood to have quick reactions in. Crit is 90% a offensive stat. And it’s defensiv value is pure RNG. I would recommend ~70% mastery, 25-30% haste (more towards 30 for gcd but whatever feels better), and the rest vers. The rest will be crit from pieces you can’t change like tier. For ches enchant id rather take Stam/Str. Increasing Stam is really important for DK and this comes basically for free. The few str you miss is not worth the trade of no stamina.
Hey wanting to get into blood dk, have been looking around for stats and I see most people stacking vers/master-haste and basically no crit but the guide say pretty much opposite
Crit is almost pure offensiv. It’s sims great but has almost no defensiv value. If you are looking to parse on raidbosses ignore crit on your gear. For m+ all other stats are more important. I would get around 30% haste (to get 1sec GCD) then two sets of gear where you can prio mastery or Vers depending on the dungeon (one for Magic and one for physical).
DUDE. dk armor set looks so much better than warriors. first time ever i think im going to switch my main lol HOPEFULLY the plate pieces that any plate class can wear include the shoulders and helm cause SHIIII WOW
I just came back after being a main blood dk for like 10+ years, so I am trying to figure out what happened with the rotation, been 7 years since I last played.
I hate my DK in DF, but always good to learn new things about classes...I die a lot on my Blood DK and I heard they were un-killable and well, I assure you they can die lol
Gosh I LOVE mine haha. I feel that, they can definitely die LOL. Physical Damage is definitely their weakness... It's how I die 90% of the time. But damn do they deal with Magic Damage so well and I love outhealing the healer and sometimes soloing bosses. Incredibly fun, hopefully you enjoy them next season!!
