10 70 GENERAL ALARM BLOCK 37 ADDITION HILLS MANDALUYONG JUNE 1, 2020 | RFV | Response Fire Volunteer

Original video was blocked for unknown reasons, I had to re edit and re upload it so you guys can still watch it.
Morning of June 1, 2020, responded to 3 fires; Makati, Santolan and Manggahan Pasig. In which all fires has been put under control swiftly. Later that day we welcomed the new BFP Fire Marshal of Mandaluyong and our days went on normally.
Afternoon, a fire broke out in Block 37 Addition Hills Mandaluyong. Response Fire team swiftly responded to the area, however, Fire Chief and I are outside the area so we rushed back to the base and eventually rode a motorcycle to keep up witn our team.
The fire started 2ND Alarm, raised to 5TH, Task Force Alpha, Bravo and eventually General Alarm. This is the first General Alarm response of our team this 2020 and to make things worse, we have a Pandemic. Addition Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 positive in Mandaluyong and we fear the safety of the affected families who lost their homes.
Team fought for 6 hours, a tiring fight yet we are all glad that this is over.

Thanks for the narrations of what's going on and being done, really helps. It's sad that 1 missed placed candle or unattended cooking fire is all it takes to burn down an entire neighborhood. So many lose everything because of 1 person's negligence.

You’re not wrong but the main reason why the entire neighborhood burned down is because of improper building standards. Houses are not supposed to be built and stacked like that. I’m very sure these were built without any standards or adherence to building codes. It’s poverty.
