"You stop it! Stop being thoughtful! You're making me look bad." "Wait, this is good? I assumed this was bad because you never do any of this kind of stuff"😂😂
Funny thing is that in the original story Hyde wasn't evil he was just Jekyll if he could live his life without consequences. So anything bad Hyde did was just Jekyll being jerk
Yes, but if you know the euphemisms of the day, some of the stuff he did was _extremely_ messed up in ways they don't tell you in school and I can't repeat in YT comment
@@graciegj63 I don't know about that game. But if you look up the cultural context of the euphemism and the reason why he would have had to pay the girl's father afterward, you will understand why it's horrifying.
Twist: Hyde's good deeds are just a devious plan to convince Jekyll to continue drinking the potion until the transformations become uncontrollable, thus allowing him to start committing evil deeds with Jekyll unable to contain him.
A really fun sketch! It reminds me of a tumblr post I encountered which pointed out that D&D warecreatures will go on rampages befitting each's moral alignment, so... lawful good lycanthropic rampages are absolutely on the table. :D
Stevenson was talking about social hypocrisy. Jekyll admits he did bad stuff when younger and stopped for fear of damaging his reputation. When Hyde (notice the pun in the name?) gives him a chance to indulge without (so he thinks) getting caught, he goes for it. And eventually finds out he's become Hyde and can't change back. At the end, he's still denying responsibility for what he's done. He can no longer change back to Jekyll's appearance. When he write's out what happened, he's physically Hyde. But, he keeps referring to Hyde in the third person "he" did this, "he" did that. Right, Jekyll, you're just an innocent bystander. You weren't even there. Everyone believes that.
Reminds me of a Society of Virtue short where the 'Vrnom' expy has made the Eddie Brock expies life a nightmare by...cleaning up his apartment, making up with his parents, getting him re-enrolled in college and making up with his girlfriend.
Instead of it simply being one side of being good and the other side being evil, they are exact opposites. Jekyll is a procrastinator, so Hyde is a go getter. J is out of touch with his emotional and caring side, so H is very kind and considerate.
Reminds of that one episode of American Dad where Stan, after killing his 100th person, develops his own Mr. Hyde that not only promises to stop killing but also acts Mother Teresa levels of charitable. Stan defeats him by forcing him into a situation where's he's forced to kill to protect his friends and family.
@@StudioCtv Wow thank you letting me know so quickly! That's great that guys are on cable. I will be tuning in by streaming BYU on my computer. I didn't know BYU is on cable somewhere. I'm glad that BYU is on as a streaming service. I had to cut the cord with cable earlier this year. Not by choice but because it just got too expensive. It's like 1978 in my house all over again. We've been watching TV with an antenna for 2 months. Well at least I have something to look forward to October 14th thank you!😄😄👍
As long as he didn't hate cats, Mr Hyde is more than welcome here. Granted due to my physical issues id be paying for it, but at least things would be done.
Dont be sexist against yourself. Women and cats are so expected, go for an aligator as a pet like they do in florida. You could feed that agilator anybody you dont like
Not really. More like he doesn't process his feelings and only has a 1 track mind. Mr. Hyde on the hand has emotions and actually thinks about multiple possibilities

The moment you realize YOU are the evil twin 😂
"You stop it! Stop being thoughtful! You're making me look bad." "Wait, this is good? I assumed this was bad because you never do any of this kind of stuff"😂😂
Yeah I was just thinking that 😆
Worse, he wasn't a evil twin, he was the immature twin.....
It wasn't good vs evil, but responsible vs irresponsible...
"But yet, I find it in my heart to pity him... how wonderful are his cooking skills" - Dr. Jekyll, probably.
I understand that musical reverence
It’s in the book too. It’s Jekyll talking about Hyde’s fear of death after killing Sir Danvers.
Hyde is that one friend you’re grateful for but also terrified of lol
it's a beautiful friendship
So me
Grateful but also resentful
Mr Jekyll didn't gain an enemy.He gained a wingman and a friend😂😂😂
Just like Dr. Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll discovered that *he* had been the monster all along.
Okay, the new cast has actually impressed me this time. That was good.
Yeah this one was really good. They've been improving a lot these days. Guess they just needed a couple seasons to get the hang of it
I agree.
@@TheFieryWolf I think they also needed help from Jason, who's got the experience.
the confusion on his face when he asked if Hyde had made his bed was priceless. 🤣🤣🤣
This is a Jekyll and Hyde adaptation I can get behind
I thought studio c was done for, but this is brilliant. Really happy to see the channel getting it's old flare back a little.
The sourdough starter needing to be fed is a special touch. However Hyde forgot to feed it before he left and it will be hours before he returns.

IDK where they get the props for it but the victorian clothes sketches have the absolute best production value for some reason.

This skit is genius. Glad to see Studio C back into good comedy shape.
So I'm living my life better than Dr. Jekyll!
I do my own laundry, pay rent, and sometimes engage in hobbies!
This was cute! Great twist on the original.
Hah, loved the creativity in this.
Terry Crews will be in the finale of the season. Maybe that's what C stands for: Crews. Studio Crews. Nothing to Hyde!

I’m gonna need them to do a cover of Confrontation from the musical, but instead it’s about how great a guy Hyde is.
This was really well written!
I read the book and i don't remember hyde being this nice of a lad
I’m reminded of “Poison” by Society of Virtue. It was a parody of Marvel’s Venom that basically did the exact same thing.

Dang, if I had seen this in high school, I would of loved reading the classics.
Wow! Hilarious, unique. I was impressed with the acting.
I like the regency suit paired with the bustle gown. I don’t remember time travel in ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ but it makes for a fascinating twist.
