  • We ride an Africa Twin and Husqvarna 701 in the West Virginia Outlaw Trails. There is some creek riding, riding through the Cabwaylingo Hatfield McCoy Trails and to an active mining site on the way to Hobet Mines.
This is our first dual sport ride on both bikes and part 1 of 2 of this ride.
There are a few small crashes, but the bikes did well. They would do better with some more offroad focused tires.
    Bikes:
    2017 Husqvarna 701 Enduro
    2016 Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L
    Filmed with:
GoPro Hero 12 on a Dango Chin Mount

These videos make me wish a I had a light adventure bike, too. Looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah it's a ton of fun. I've done a decent amount of street riding and sxs riding but I think this is great. I do prefer riding my dirt bikes though.

Negotiating SxS ruts is no joke. Much respect.

9:19 why did the bike die? Also why did you use the starter to start it back up vs just letting the clutch out?

Thanks for watching the video that much and in detail! I'm not sure, but I believe I have an intermittent electrical/kill switch issue. I've been riding on the 701 and hit something hard enough it throws the kill switch. At the time I felt it would be easier to use the starter button rather than downshift and bump start it. I'm not sure I was going fast enough in the current gear to roll start it and I wasn't going slow enough in the gear for the engine to die.
