I gotta go with XTB on this. I'm not a big fan of the "white Prime in a suit of armor" gimmick so I think FM's proportions suffer because of it. The only thing wrong with XTB's proportions is that the arms are slightly too long. However, I really don't like the MP-10 style cab on XTB. I think it would have made sense in the toy version but it doesn't make sense on the cartoon version, not in todays market anyway. But that's not enough for me to pick FM over XTB. I think they're presenting too little too late. The vehicle mode looks pretty cartoon accurate but the feet on the back of the truck are pretty low for FT, especially after Magic Square's Light of Peace.
Just brought the xtransbot Ultra Magnus today! Also buying the FT and the Delta Magnus when it eventually released 🙏🏾. This a great figure that both companies got right.
Liked! Fair assessment overall. Me, I have my bias since I'm a huge Armor UM fan, so FansToys for me. I may get XTB for the toy version at some point, just for the sake of toy nostalgia and different from FT, but man that XTB transformation engineering is a mess. Then again, I hate complex transformation so that a bias in my part. As for MP22, I still love the figure dearly. Love the easy intuitive transformation especially the arm part, matrix gimmick, alt.mode, and robot mode looks great in my eyes w/ the glass chest window. If it hadn't been for the stupid ginormous butt flap (damn you Kobayashi, how can you approve that?), I wouldn't want another All-in-one UM again.
The Xtransbots looks so good but to watch people transform that thing really breaks my heart it truly is a shit show but I am buying it for the robot mode! Just to be clear I am still buying both xtb and ft
Toon def going with XTB. Material XTB is catching up to FT they just have to work on the tightness of their figure. I prefer most XTB to FT but I own both but for this it's XTB for the face sculpt alone. It is snatched right out of the cartoon and movie
I'll decide when I see a review where both figures on in hand, but I really do like the look of XTB. Don't really care about the so-called "nightmare" transformation since I don't transform my figure unless they're combiners lol
I’ve never transformed Fanstoys huffer not because I think it’s complicated but because I don’t care what it turns into same with Fanstoys hoist I just really don’t care and I still bought it and I love it as an action figure
Honestly I believe FTs went the wrong way here...UM should be done all in 1 and if FTs wanted to do Armor on top, it should had been Hot Rod to Rodimus Prime. I know the FTs UM will be better build, XTB is still 1 step behind FTs on Quality. With that said, XTB wins overall...Cleaner, More Accurate, less Paint issues, Less breakage/looseness from attaching armor, Better proportions and less expensive. FTs only wins are Build Quality and Armor Gimmick.
Great video! Yes!! I agree!! The Xtransbots takes it in terms of looks and most likely Articulation! Yes! You're Right! Very ambitious for Fanstoys! But I don't know 😕 about this one! The proportions seems blicky and off. The shoulders look small, not to mention FT is not really known for Articulation so..I can't even imagine if this will be another Solid Beautiful Brick! With barely any waist swivel, no Abcrunch, no Butterfly joints! I mean we all know the weight and feel will be Top Notch. But they really need to improve on the Articulation. Takara and Xtb is leaving FT behind. That Magnus with that waist joint swivel and opening doors is like Mp-44 was to mp10. I love Fanstoys don't get me wrong. But it almost seems like they're not evolving as a company. I almost feel like everyone gives them a pass because of the Fanstoys Fanboys backlash.
That’s the point of MP is to make Ultra Magnus look like his animation. The FT is based of the old toy that didn’t develop the technology to make it all in one. That’s the point of MP
Fans Toys all day long. I can't get behind Xtransbots after several purchases that have all been disappointing to me. MP Ultramagnus is in the collection I like it but always envisioned a white Prime with armor!
There is no clear winner for once. Ft wins if you like Magnus being a "white prime" in armor (toy/dreamwave style). Xtb wins if you like him being one bot with no armor. I prefer the xtb style for him personally.
Don get me wrong, I do think XTB looks great, but after FT showed their take i just can't unsee the gorilla arms in XTB (It is cartoon accurate though).
Unfortunately, the XTB version is a nightmare to transform. There is zero joy in owning the XTB, I would never again pick it up to transform back to truck mode. It is the only non transforming figure that I own that can transform.
@@toysatthetable9826 if you can get everything to tab in and stay tabbed in. I’ve honestly thought about just supergluing the tabs on the back and legs, as I swear the Christ I will never transform ever again.
The FT's is going to be a fail. It's going to be a Lego parts former. The way to do this figure...properly...is to do a White Prime figure that that can fit into a non parts forming trailer. That way it keeps the cartoon gimmick. This is the Dreamwave gimmick and we all know that was stupid because there is no way for Ultra Magnus to Transform in a way where his Optimus Prime mold is in full Robot mode with the armor covering him the way Dreamwave and FT's is doing.

Yep
I would never get a Prime w/ Magnus Suit version. I always HATED that from the original toy when I was like 7yrs old or whatever.
I understand but I’m getting it for nostalgia
Yo lo quiero😃😃😃.ojala salga skay linx tambien
no veo por qué no harían un skylinx

Yeah but everyone like what they like you know

"The point of MP is..." Is such an arbitrary statement...
But it is a valid statement and I can’t wait to see the Finished product

I would choose x-transbots certainly!

This is true but all ultra magnus toys have gorilla arms to some degree yes even the Fanstoys

I think I may feel very similar when mine comes in but is the robot mode worth it

@@MisterMeanerOU812 this sounds like it is the exact job for superglue I can already feel it another episode is coming!
FansToys needs to complete at least ONE their combiner teams first before I take them seriously about anything else..
100% agree you are correct
KFC Citizen Stack was way before Takara.
This is true but I didn’t count him because he’s not super g1
3d printers did it first

I would like to see some company try that ☝️
