But thats the 8-man story, not the main story. Unending Coil was the ARR 8-man, and Weapons Refrain was ARR story. Epic of Alexander was the HW 8-man, and Dragonsong's Reprise was the HW story. TOP was the Stormblood 8-man, but we didnt get the story for that expansion as an ultimate. Probably saving Shinryu for a Zenos focused ultimate or something.

you mentioned omicron for Solution Nine and i agree that theres a similar vibe like you but also it feels TOO sleek and advanced for them, like the Omicron tech is very industrial and pragmatic looking beyond some silver ornamentation, lots of steel. Whereas this is like. more advanced than anything we've ever seen
Very minor spoilers for Endwalker I saw a theory that I really liked. Someone commented that Solution 9 might be a civilization from another shard that was able to learn how to travel between reflections. This could tie back into Y’shtola is looking for a way to travel between shards and Emet’s line about the civilizations of the other shards will surprise you.
I always hated the “gender dimorphism” argument when it comes to races differences. I like that Au Ra male and Female are significantly different, and love that Viera Women are larger than the men. It’s fun, and both spectrums should coexist, much like in real life.
There will be no storyline for the Ultimate. A vocal minority complained about the story of Dragonsong's Reprise being locked behind Ultimate content and so they said they will no longer do story heavy Ultimates, which is why Omega Protocol didn't really have any.

Solution Nine is likely a Ascian test city were they tested plans on people just like they used the people of Allag to move there plans forward.
