I studied with Dr Arnheim at University of Michigan many years ago. He was giving a lecture on this subject and became so excited, I ran up to him and asked to do an independent study He was a most brilliant, humble and gracious person. HIs work continues to run a thread through my work as an artist and therapist. Thank you for this channel!
Thanks. I have some envy for your meeting with him! :) If I have to name someone most influential in my photography he is at the top of the list with Ansel Adams.

Sounds like a book that would be worthwhile for all, not just photography. At least it would also help us recognize the composition of a photograph and how we perceive it. Great explanation, even for the non photographer. We are all involved in the pictures of life.
Yes, and knowing the psicology of vision helps also to discriminate real images from propaganda.
