I don’t know why, but I am sitting here laughing at how those toilet paper “pumpkins” look, before you add the sweater over them…when it is just a TP roll and the batting/pillow stuffing…it looks funny. However, when you are finished with them, they are gorgeous.I love he thread spool as a stem.

When picking your scrap wood do you ever use treated lumber. I have access to a bunch of scraps but they’re treated. Will the paints stick to that type of scrap lumber?
Ginny I'm really not sure for the most part I only use untreated scraps. I would just say maybe test on a small scrap and see what happens. Thanks so much for watching!
You are AWESOME!! How about using a skil saw to cut out your book pumpkin? Sure would be easier! Love pumpkins, so want to try lots of these. Did a lot last year with flannels and velvet from a local thrift store! How about tucking some potpourri inside the little flat pumpkins along with the stuffing? Would make a great bowl stuffer!! Love my Fall!!!

Oh my, that book pumpkin is beautiful. I have been wondering looking for what I have for velvet pumpkins, too. I have a blue and gold shirt, that was my daughters. I bought finials at Ollie’s, yesterday, for .99, for two in each pack. They are beautiful. They had some glittery zebra striped ones, that I passed on, but I should have grabbed them. I love Ollie’s you never know what you will find in that store.

These are all beautiful, but I think that my favorite is the drop cloth pumpkins. I think they would make great door hangers and cabinet hangers. I'll probably try several of these, but I especially want to make the fabric pumpkins! You are awesome!

Love your crafting video's. If you don't have any toilet paper rolls saved you can take poster board and make your own. Thank you for all the inspiration.
I have found that the key to using ModPodge or school glue is to put your coat down of ModPodge or school glue let it dry, till it's tacky and then put your paint on top of it the color you want and then hit it with a blow dryer or heat tool. I've used crackle medium but to me the ModPodge method works better. Sometimes the crackle medium doesn't crackle as well.

I have found that the key to using ModPodge or school glue is to put your coat down of ModPodge or school glue let it dry, till it's tacky and then put your paint on top of it the color you want and then hit it with a blow dryer or heat tool. I've used crackle medium but to me the ModPodge method works better. Sometimes the crackle medium doesn't crackle as well.
I don't know how you come up with so many original ideas. Those pink pumpkins from sweaters are fab!!
