Building kit is another funny and I was building another kit just took 18days but not including the printing! m.facebook.com/groups/220892345477189/permalink/1431913877708357/?
Amazing job! What products did you use for sealing the balsa and then as a primer? Did you use talc powder to fill the weave in the fibreglass? Or silk? I’d love to learn more about the prep process if there is a website or a good video that you can recommend.
This is process that I got from flight hobby for you reference Basic ☆ For the sanding sealer, use thinner for the lower part at a ratio of 2: 1 main agent 2 to curing agent 1. ☆ For the surfacer, use thinner for the base at a ratio of 4: 1 main agent 4 to curing agent 1. ● Base before silking (This is a compounding example of the quasi-stunt machine 140 class) 1. Apply sanding sealer 80g hardener 40g talc 160g thinner 160g to the entire body (excluding perry bread) so that the grain is filled with a brush. After drying for 2 hours or more, polish with dry sharpening paper # 180 ~ # 320. Polish until the sanding sealer remains only in the dented part. 2. Apply sanding sealer 60g hardener 30g thinner 50 ~ 70g all over. After drying for 2 hours or more, lightly polish with empty sharpening paper # 320 ~ # 600. ● Silk-covered ~ Complete foundation (without glue) 3. Cut the silk slightly larger than the machine and remove the wrinkles with a HOT iron. 4. Sanding sealer 100g Hardener 50g Thinner 60 ~ 70g with a brush to prevent wrinkles I will stick it on. Add thinner on the way to adjust the degree. 5. After drying for 3 hours or more, cut off excess material, sanding sealer 80g, hardener 40g Apply 40 ~ 50g of thinner with a brush. After drying for 3 hours or more, lightly polish with empty sharpening paper # 320 ~ # 400. 6. Apply sanding sealer 80g hardener 40g thinner 40 ~ 50g with a brush. After drying for 3 hours or more, polish thoroughly with empty sharpening paper # 320 ~ # 400. 7. Surfacer main agent 80g Hardener 20g Talc 60-80g Thinner 60-80g is applied with a brush. (The base of carbon parts starts here.) After drying for 3 hours or more, lightly polish with empty sharpening paper # 320 ~ # 400. 8. Surfacer base 80g Hardener 20g Talc 60 ~ 80g Synther 60 ~ 80g Brush all over. After drying for 3 hours or more, polish it thoroughly with dry sharpening paper # 320 ~ # 600. If the degree of completion is high, the groundwork is finished! 9. Surfacer 140g Hardener 35g Talc 50-70g, thinner 250-300g is sprayed thinly over the entire surface. After drying for 3 hours or more, polish it thoroughly with dry sharpening paper # 240 ~ # 600. This completes the groundwork. If you find something in the middle of the work, fill it with poly putty. Be sure to improve ventilation during work and polish with a smoke-proof mask. Please work after wearing a gas mask.
Hi friend. Great work~! Awesome~!😁😁😁😁
I’ve got zero chance of ever building to these standard. Better buy one and spend my time flying! Well done to the builder. Amazing job.
