Two Kicker Subwoofers - [ 2200W MAX ]
I have 2 kicker subwoofers in my dodge journey. The square solobaric subwoofer is wired at 1 ohm, and the round subwoofer is wired at 2 ohms. They are both dual coil, and each subwoofer is powered by its own boss riot1100 amp. They each take about 500watts rms and can take about a 1000w max. In total they run at about 1000 watts rms and 2200 watts max. The square subwoofer is a 10 inch solobaric l3 and the circle subwoofer is a 12inch compr.

It kicks really hard for a budget system and it is all my ears would ever want. It shakes my car alot when I have it turned up, and it flexes alot if I have it turned up. My old Solobaric L3 burnt out on me so I got this, which has similar specs. It just has a deeper kick.

I still have my kicker solo X 10 inch 5000watt with a 2500.1 amp. Blows away everything ive heard. Not just in loudness but also clarity

Bruh, have you even researched those amps? They don't claim to do 1100 watts rms. They are advertised to do about 350rms at 4ohms and even more at 2ohms.

Kicker boxes are to small, there made for compact but if you cover the ports they work great as a sealed box, they sound real good.

The comp R is a more efficient subwoofer. It doesn't take as much power to get moving because the suspension components arent as beefy as what's on the L7. That being said, once you get closer to the RMS of each woofer the L7 is gonna take off because the square is just going to move more air, cant get around it.

you can get the L7 in dual 2 or dual 4 ohm coil configurations

It would sound better and be much more pleasant to the ears with an Amp that pushes the proper clean power. An Amp like that you would feel the bass more and your ears would be less fatigued. A Kicker CX600.1 is a perfect match for the single CompR, and you’ll be asking yourself why you hadn’t done it sooner.

I got a new amp. And it’s not an l7, it’s a nicer version that is 2ohms.
They definitely ain’t getting near to how much power they take. I know for a fact that the l3 15 inch takes 900 watts but I put a 2000 watt amp on mine when I had it and the windshield flexed
+ohioredneck2001 yeah, I have the square sub wired at 1 ohm... the boss amps aren’t supposed to be able to do a 1 ohm load but it’s been working for a year, for my ear’s sake I keep them pretty low now

Man I got a pile driver 12in Sub 2000 W I got a Cheesy California 350 watt amp hooked up to it and I make mine hit way harder than what you make yours with two boss amps and I had two Kicker Comp I blew it with my 2000 watt amp I have never blew a L7 solobaric str8 pounds
My question is would you run both simultaneously, I have both in separate boxes, the solobaric is wired now, could/should I just wire up the other one and a bigger amp? Or is that not recommended?

It would probably be close. Those solobarics are designed to take so much more power. They can flex alot more too.

Well if you got money don't do what I did 😂 boss audio is meh, it works when your a kid in college. Look into Rockville subs and Sundowns if you got a bit of money. For amps, it's basically you get what you pay for, any big name brand should be fine. Love 4runners btw. Also the comp r's are pretty good too, but they don't have as much room to flex like those others I mentioned

I can tell you that’s one way to fry an amp. You need to have bigger power wire going to it. Not 12ga. If it’s what you say it is it need at least 2ga. 1/0 is better.
Definitely doesn't need over 4ga for those pos amps. They aren't that powerful

I’m using non copyright music for Adsense purposes, non copyrighted songs don’t have good low ends, these subs can kick a lot harder with different songs with real lows.

I ran alot of subs in the last 25yrs. I bought a comp r because of availability a year ago and I was surprised to find its built better than any old kicker & it performs quite well.
