Kay, have you ever tried the thermal stitch (crochet) to make pot holders and the things you put on the table so the hot pots/pans don't scorch the table? I've loved using that lately, because it makes a dense but still flexible fabric that's wonderful for pot holders - and my family loves the ones I've made for them, too
Now that's a sweater! My granddaughter and grandson came over yesterday.....and we hugged! I've seen them, but they stay in the driveway or on the porch. Samantha said she loved my cream and green Mahogany Run socks. She said they would be perfect for her little short boots. She smiled and batted her eyes at me. I, of course, gave them to her. She's very knit worthy.
Kay your sweater is just stunning! You mentioned the main colour as blue, but it looks a rather dark grey in the podcast . As always your socks are just gorgeous & am looking forward to your tutorial on them. Cheers for now, 😘😍💕❤️😊🥰
Love your sweater looks great on you. Your sock pattern is pretty and might be a great one to start a pattern with. I have only ever made vanilla 😅 and a few at that so maybe time for me to adventure out 🤦♀️ enjoy your day Kay and looking forward to seeing you and Austin xx
Your sweater is amazing! I love the way it turned out. I've always wanted to try colorwork, but I'm so nervous. This looks like the perfect amount to start with! 💜
Your sweater turned out beautiful! Great job! I usually knit my sweaters a little too small (the opposite of you). 🤣 I’m going to have to figure that out a little better too. Sizing struggles are real!
The sweater is beautiful!!!!! I can’t wait for the tutorial for the socks. I want to try knitting a pair in magic loop but it intimidates me for some reason. I don’t think it should, I used magic loop for the first time a few months ago to knit one of your fingerless mitts patterns and it was super easy so I don’t think socks should be much different!
Crazy Sock Lady the problem is .....I’ve been knitting for about a year. I don’t know how to convert patterns. DPNS fall out of my hands when working with them (not pretty) and magic loop makes no sense to me. 9 inch makes sense and I can do it with instructions. Maybe experience makes the difference. I’m generally a quilter so this is a whole new wonderful world. Thank you for commenting
Hi Kay. I loved your Podcast as always. I look forward to seeing your tutorials on your 9 inch and your 32 inch needle sock tutorial. Maybe I can finally make a pair of socks!!! I have been ordering Some DVD Yarn every month that I may be able to join her monthly challenge eventually. I was concerned when I heard you were walking alone in the early morning hours by yourself. Sweetie you be real careful out there. I know I need to mind my own business. . just think you are such a sweet caring person. Take care and may God bless you always. L
Thanks Sherry! ❤️❤️ I make sure I wait until the sun is coming up so it’s light out. And Eric actually bought me a little thing of pepper spray that hooks around my wrist! I was nervous about walking alone in the mornings, even through our neighborhood, but I feel better with that on! I hope the tutorials will be helpful, and I’m always just a message or email away if you need extra help! ❤️
Your finished sweater looks ah-mazing! The yarn is so scrummy looking, I’m going to have to order from them soon 😍

I haven’t, for pot holders I’ve always done the Bev’s Turn in on Itself Pattern. It’s my favorite for pot holders.

Are you going to make any patterns for 9 inch circulars?
Hey Lauri, any of my patterns can be done on 9” circulars. ❤️
