Pick modeling??? I’ve been playing guitar my whole life and I may just hang it up and go with sample libraries because you guys are making some crazy awesome things!
Wow. Just wow. You guys are really amazing!
Can recommend. Versatile as shit, great quality, great presets, great effects. If you purge samples, in MIDI-programming a song, one guitar takes only 30-100 MB of RAM in samples in a whole song (if there are solos included), and 200 MB to run the whole guitar itself.
So, if you have 3 different guitars running in a song, it's only about 700 MB of RAM needed total, when all the samples are purged (only using the samples that the midi track is using) (I've tested this with 3 songs so far, always 600-1000 MB RAM 3 guitars total).
Tremolos, settings, fingerings, other effects' amount and on/off are all automatable. I've used channel pitch automations to trigger the bend automations, and you can set the max values for the bends in Dracus itself.
IF YOU'RE A STUDENT, GET A STUDENT DISCOUNT FOR THIS. It was around 20 % if I remember correctly.
And of course, use your daw's effects - dist chorus flanger etc. in addition to Dracus's, and you'll be able to do anything with it.
Also, tremolo on/off and tremolo speed automations are the tits c:
The flanger is batshit crazy good
The built-in compressor in Dracus makes it ring almost infinitely long, if you want
you guys make the best guitar vsts by far. this is pretty closed to the real thing and trust me im a guitarist :D
anast dime have you heard of the Odin deluxe tho?
@@Beantypechannel yup. 🍊 🌳 samples is still preferred.
This is sick! Can it be used for proper Djent/progressive and death metal?
My god. This is even better than the time I discovered that kid frozen in that iceberg in the south pole. * Cuts away *
It should not be
limageur sure it should. It was only Hollywood 🤷🏾♂️
2:46 Aerials
This is totally brilliant! But tbh idk which library is better, Evolution stratosphere or this
This
It’s an even swap as they both do their jobs excellently!✌🏾
does this works with latest Kontakt version and Monterey?
You should make a metal inspired bass guitar
Hi.
So one that really gets in the way of my writing is Dracus shutting off one note (almost like a palm mute or dead/dud stroke) whenever a preceding note's end overlaps the following (effected) note.
I guess it's the 'scripting' but I do not want this effect to take place, and want every note to go ahead and play even if the preceding note's end overlaps' the next notes beginning, especially since I often need long sustained notes and like to use the 'humanize' option.
So how / where can I shut this off?
For instance, let's say a midi note is drawn in on Reaper's sequencer midi grid, and that note comes right up to the end of the start of the next note, that following note that was supposed to start gets cut off, sounding like a dead / muted stroke which makes a 'drop out' in the sound that I don't want. Can't the engine just start another
'voice' for the new note?
I understand I can shorten the note, but writing this way is far from ideal and opens up all kinds of messes I do not even want to try and explain.
How did this turn out?
Learn how to use the program settings. What you want is possible. It can do what a guitar can do and more. Look through the setup page.
Daft question: if I write my guitar in a sequencer, can I just drag it into my DAW and apply this VST and pretty much have a working demo?
Reason I ask is the last Guitar VST I bought looked great but when I bought it it quickly became clear it'd been designed only for people using keyboards to write the parts, and importing MIDI and transcribing it in such a way that the software understood was more hassle than it wound up being worth (basically rather than a note being a note, different ranges of the keyboard indicated different playing styles). As you don't have a refund policy, I don't want to find out the hard way that this isn't a fit for what I need
Yes as long as your midi is notes are in the normal note range for the guitars. You can choose how you want the articulations to be triggered…by midi’s velocity or a certain percentage of the time or by key switches. There are more options too. Or you can forego which ever of the articulations you don’t want played. You do have to give vsts some time though. Don’t be discouraged. The vst you had might not be as hard as you think. And they are usually quick to learn.
Is it possible to disable 8th string?
use freet positioning
legato slides?
But how to slide from one chord to another in this?
Set the bend range to an octave or more. Set the midi channels to omni. Use an MPE controller like seaboard, linnstrument, or iFretless bass.
how do I control vibrate??
Dial it in or out…or set it to be controlled by the pitch or mod wheel.
O__O wow
When you are doing your upcoming tutorial video on this could you please approach it from the perspective of someone who might have not used Kontakt before or a Library within it. Could you also bear in mind people who may not have used Keyswitches before. I am a Reason user and Kontakt can't be used in that DAW. I have only just started using Kontakt 5 free version in Mixcraft so that I could buy this Library which I did. I only have a 25 note controller so therefore any keyswitches will have to be drawn into the Midi Editor. My main interest is to get the power chords to play with downward strums. Therefore can you cover how to ðraw in the downstroke/upstroke keyswitches into the Midi editor of a DAW to trigger the power chords. I have read the manual several times and it's definitely not in there. The manual is fine if you are familiar with Kontakt, using Libraries within it and are familiar with key switching etc. If you are a newbie in regards those areas you are lost.
do you guys have a nice bass guitar for funk music?
+Jimtik kzeus Check out Cherry Electric Bass, which includes slapping and popping--great for funk: www.orangetreesamples.com/products/cherry-electric-bass
i like more the sound of the rick bass one, wish it had the slappin sound and 5 strings something like the YAMAHA TRB
+Jimtik kzeus Contrary to what people say, slapping on a Rickenbacker DOES sound great. Unfortunately they don't make 5-string Rickenbacker basses unless you get a knock-off. The Yamaha TRB has a pretty nice modern bass sound and would make a great sample library...
Funk music, lol?!? That's gay af. You and your boyfriend starting a band together, lol?!?
@@michaelmaclane5004 Wtf is wrong with you :DD
i cant get the strum to work , what am i doing wrong
+YoungBlaze Of Chitown Hey there - probably best to contact OTS directly on the support part of their site. Make sure you've checked out the manual. One tip for strumming - make sure you go into the CHORD menu and set to Held / Automatic / Custom - otherwise you won't hear anything.
what do i do next i get empty slots that say "Learn New Chord" i actually got the manuel buts its kinda vugue
+YoungBlaze Of Chitown I would recommend starting with the "Automatic Chords" mode first instead of the custom chords. Then just hold down a chord in the main playing range to select the chord voicing automatically, and use either the single strum downstroke/upstroke keys or strumming pattern keys to actually play notes on the chord.
This Library sounds great. However a video showing you how to use the strum section would be good. I read the manual but as the poster says its not clear how to exactly use the Strum section. It would be good to see this Library in a video being used in a DAW so potential customers would see how to use it. As it will be used in a DAW that would clarify exactly how to use it.
it works well in every other library for me but not dracus dont know why tho
Orange tree samples, I'm interested in buying this awesome library, but I have a question. Is it possible to add two more strings? (10 string guitar). Since I have some 10 string guitars, It would be awesome if I can make some sounds before play them. Thanks
The guitar we sampled for this is an 8-string, so we'd really need to sample a different guitar that naturally has 10-strings. A super extended range guitar could be cool, albeit a lot more time to sample. ;)
Orange Tree Samples thanks for the reply! isn't possible to extand the range? making the 8th string the root key?
There are some alternate tunings available in the library that let you alter the range of the guitar, if that's useful to you. Not quite the same as having an actual 10-string guitar, of course.
You convinced me. I'll buy it! THANKS!!!
does it djent?
no, pretty much all lower tones suck, i think this engine only works decent on acoustic samples
Yes... but it’s always the wielder that must make a guitar djent. If the human can’t, neither will the instrument.
