These movies I grew up with, being Mexican every Halloween these two movies would pop up in our Spanish movie channels. It was fun watching both movies and I’m so excited for them to be on blu ray
I think the 2nd one is even better than the first one. Something along the lines of Dario Argento's Inferno, Demons 2, or House (1977). It's very atmospheric and dreamy. Reminded me of like a Freddy Krueger or Hellraiser like landscape with Ivan Ooze playing mind tricks on the people. Had some good visuals and special effects that you could tell were very old school in both movies. The first one was like Amityville Horror with some Child's Play (1988) vibes. More so by the beats of a regular horror movie. Visuals were great. The hallucination type stuff and the ending. I mean haunted house movies have been done to death, but the girl and the doll was good. Funny at least we got a Carrie moment with the knives. I watched both in one day. I feel the fact the second one is so different makes it even better that its not a paint by numbers anything... just adding to the conversation
I think that maybe if I'd watched the second one first I might've felt a little different... But, for me, when it comes to franchises I can't help but compare to the predecessor ya know. Nobody can tell me that Julio doesn't seem like an entirely different character either...
I watched the first one last night. I think 50% of the movie's runtime was people looking. Gaby looks at doll, doll's eyes move, Julia looks at Paulina, Julia looks at Gaby, Gaby looks at Paulina, Gaby looks at doll, doll's eyes moves the other way, continue for 45 minutes. I didn't hate the movie, but I don't see ever needing to watch it again. I watched the first minutes of the second one, and see Julio is back. I'll watch it, but I need a break.
It's great to see you doing reviews again! Always look forward to your insights on VS.
Yeah, it was a rough month to start up again tho... April's releases... were pretty bleh 🤷🏼♂️

9:20 absolutely made my night hehe!

@@BulleitBlake lol. yeah i agree on that. Makes me think of Mac with the duster (jacket) in it's alway sunny in philly.
Think I’m going to roll the dice on this one.
It was the only one even semi-worthwhile from the entire April package imo.
Wonderful here in Mexico it is for sale but of course imported for $700 obviously I bought it 🤪😌👍🏼

Julio is back but it feels like a totally different character 🤷🏼♂️
Thanks, think I'll pass...
😂 bye
Both were garbage
Idk about all that. I didn't "hate" the first one but to each their own 🤷🏼♂️
You are garbage 😂
