this damn thing sounds awesome; crips as bacon and articulate as my 50 year old knee..
this is very good demo for someone who is looking for a Sonor Prolite/Delite 2nd gen or a Sq2 vg maple
    Good drumming also

Thank you much! I just watched the video again and I’m wondering why I don’t play this drum more often?! Lol.

You are getting a nice crack out of it! I have five Sonor snares (three One of a Kind and two SQ2) and I enjoy them for each subtlety they produce!

I noticed that you use Gaffe Tape on a couple of your snares (and toms). Do you find it absolutely necessary to use this in your situations, or is it just your room that is causing the ring that you wish to eliminate the ring? I still hear the ring, and I think that it sounds good. It adds character to the sound of the drum.

si1995gtnupe1997 just the room. In a live situation I wouldn’t need tape.

If you're using the glynn johns mic technique, put the floor tom condenser closer to it, poiinting at the snare, in this mix only the attack from the floor tom is audible though the shell sound itself is almost non existent
