Today i'm showing you how to use the basic functions on the Buchla 258t. There's already a few videos out there but not much that explains the ins / outs so I just decided to give it a go.

very helpful video, thank you! had trouble finding a clear walkthrough and the manual is just a one-pager. I've never used any buchla or buchla clones so needed some more info. thanks again!

You had a TG sounding run on the verbos keyboard for halve of it.. might consider a throbbing gristle cover...you have most of the right weaponry and could use Eric's gear to make a new addition to the tg formula...its a thought.. most people cover 20 greatest jazz hits and avoid the second annual report.. just a hint..;) go with the second annual report if your going to do it.
Or if your an Ian Curtis fan he killed himself to the song weeping by TG..always good to have the right information on these kind of things..
Weeping is on the third report..FYI..I would go with the least explored cover wise 2nd .. thats my opinion though.. repeat eater is awesome you don't need covers this is mainly if your ever considering covering something stark and electronically historical..in a completely savage way

Since this video it's been moved to another case, more Buchla / TT focused but yes I was using it a lot even in that system. It really is a different beast than the 259 based designs such as the Verbos CO.
@@Stazma thank you - super helpful. I’m interested in oscillators than can make wild noise such as the 258t does at the end of your video, but a lot of the sounds on the complex oscillators leave me cold (less musical). I have just picked up a Sputnik Variable Waveform Generator - I’ll post a video when it arrives 👍👍👍

Hey I know you have the function generator now and all... have you thought of the multi envelope from verbos. Outside of digital enevolpe generators it's pretty insane...this was the quasi synthi sound I was discussing with you...as opposed to an Erica sound don't tell Erica black modules that this oscillator is sonically closer to 3v per octave
I had the Multi Envelope for a while but even tho it's a very clever and fun to use module I was not happy with it at the time and sold it. I guess I prefer having four 1D segment to combine as I want than two more complex multistage circuit. I got the Polyphonic Envelope from Verbos last week and it's quite fun (demo coming) !

You can get them from Thonk or Samodular in EU ;-)
