Nah, I've seen plenty of up close shots that suck, it wasn't the distance. It was the luck. Can't stop a head from turning and deflecting off the horn... lol
LOL, I would if he was, we watched it in the videos it didn't hit him and the neighbor saw him a few months later and hes fine... Soooooooooo THERE! ha
Well congrats on putting this up for all to see that takes courage in this day and age , There were a lot of no no's in this hunt what rifle were you using? how many yards was that shot? the angle? looked pretty much quartering on and at that distance a puff of wind makes the whole thing a mess. How many rounds have you shot into a steel plate at that range and angle? I live in this country I know where you are and it is not public ground I do not blame you for trying but there seems to be to much of a party atmosphere and not enough skills or common sense, sometimes you just have to say NO! this is NOT a good shot! I do give you respect for owning it .
Thank you, we appreciate your support. Not sure what No No's there were, unlucky shots happen, no one is perfect. The guy turned and I just hit his horn.. I've seen bad shots up close too, it wasn't the distance it was the just the luck of the draw, if the horn wouldn't of been there the shot would of been perfect, so look at that first and then see if it would of been bad, becuase it definitely wasn't a bad shot.. Good news is the bull is fine and he was seen like a month or two later :). Rifle is my Gunwerks 7 saum, it kills everything minus this one lol. I would of taken that shot again, because it wasn't a bad shot.. I shoot long range and I won't take a shot unless I'm comfortable with it. It was right where I aimed, you should be able to see that..... So all the other nonsense doesn't come into play, I got got unlucky and did the best I could with the outcome. Move on and up.
@@kristyleecook15 well sounds like you checked all the right boxes and that gun will certainly do the job. Thank you for replying with the info , my meaning of a no no was the angle on the second shot looked to me it was to much quartering on but i was not there, bad luck does tend to get us sometimes all the best and again thanks for showing the good and bad we need more youtube channels to be like that.
In my mind on the second shot was a follow up because the first shot was my kill shot.. hard to tell until we can go back and watch the footage but the goal was to get another one in him as he was leaving. So to me thats not a no no, thankfully he didn't get but a small wound and he was good, however if he wouldn't of turned his head just perfectly in time for that bullet to hit he would of been a dead bull. LOL. I feel like people hide the bad and I easily could of taken that out of the show but thats what makes it real and for anyone to think they haven't made bad shots or had unlucky shots if lying LMAO. We all do, and I don't have many of them but it keeps us humble :) @@magwamagwa45110
@@kristyleecook15 that my girl 100% truth if you hunt you will one day wound or loose a animal it sucks and it eats at you for a long time, i speak from experience of over 40 elk kills and over 55years hunting big game i am 73 now and my elk hunting is fading in the rear view mirror. My only advice keep it hunting don, t let it turn to just killing, hunting is a joy for the heart and you will never be closer to Gods creation all the best Kristy to you and you family.
Having kids its a adventure all on its own,but most definitely the best adventure!!!❤
