I have never thought playing ddnet on mobile was possible, and you're better than most of the players out there XD
What's the main difference between mobile and computer players? I've watched some of your videos but playing ddnet mobile still sounds so uncomfortable for me.. But you seem to play maps without difficulties. Also why did you start your journey as a mobile player? Out of curiosity
The most important difference is the way the hook aims, Pc gamers use the mouse, we mobile players use the virtual joystick. Also, we have a serious problem about the lack of buttons. Because the version is too old, the latest mobile version is 9.3.1, some commands cant be used. Such as bind ctrl+[button], and all types of dummy control except df. Also lots of bugs are found, which is very very annoying. The most deadly one is: the endless hook has a chance to break itself. And we cant spec freely, we can only zoom or spec other players to have a look on the map. So mostly I just do the parts blindly.
The first time I played ddnet is on my old pad. I haven't got my own computer yet. So I have no choice but to play every game on my pad or phone. The thing is , I cant afford a computer, I have to wait till I finish my college.
Then after several months of suffering, I found a way to remap all the buttons, this took me at least 10 hours to finish all the settings. It wasn't hard to bind or remap, but I have little experience at that time, I have to find options that are needed and give them a reachable place. And I have to study all the bind commands myself. So the journey to a mobile ddnet master is very hard, if anyone have a computer, I think playing on mobile is not the best option for him. Unless a suitable update of mobile ddnet come out one day. Someone seems to begin make it.
