I pulled mine out and put it back in and now it is vibrating and making a aggressive buzzing noise and random misfires, but before I pulled it out it was still misfiring does that mean it is bad?
These have a tendency of going bad because they are overlooked. I would suspect that this might be a part of the issue. Also, check your spark plug wiring. It dry rots.
this means used up conteol head in the transmission previous owner probably never chanhed oil in tranny and here you go. when oil warms up is less thick and worn pressure accumulators in transmission control cannot keep the pressure correctly. unfortunate is that the accumulator pistons can be replaced but the cylinders are part of housing. meaning whole control unit will need replacement. flushing oil is bad will get all debris circulating in tranny. change tranny oil every 20kmiles. dont forget u also have bever gear, differential etc there. also need to change oil in there.
oil leaks are comkon due to old rubber gaskets under timing belt cover and valve covers. if u wont change it, alternator will swim in oil and die.soon. another pil leaks come from steering pump, oil gets into the grove of the V engine and oil appears on both sides. again untreated means alternator death. been there.. also check t piec of windscreen liquid , just above alternator. it frequently cracks, spraying liquid onto alternator and you guessed by now what it causes..
THANK YOU! I am in the process of replacing the valve cover gaskets on my 2006 XC90 V8 and you saved me a bit of work. I owe you a beer! Cheers

Have you had issues with oil leaks on the xc90 4.4 and shifting hard when car is at running temp?

This car has almost 330,000 miles and you cannot hear it when the hood is closed. No hard shifting or oil leaks. Only a minor coolant leak.
