I’m kinda sad, the pandemic and other things is making shipping longer, and loads of people are buying roller skates from moxi currently. I was supposed to get my skates by the end of march but I’m probably gonna get them by the end of august instead!! :( I was so excited to have 3 months prior to when school starts again so I could practice skating and when I would be confident enough, roll to school but school’s probably gonna start for me around the end of august or the beginning of September. I’m still gonna be happy when the skates come but agh I wish they could’ve came sooner. I do understand that the company’s going through a lot right now though
I dont know why I ordered through them and it would have been faster through a retailer :(
That’s exactly why they are having so much trouble. They had no idea the demand was going to sky rocket during this time. On top of that covid shut their factory down for a bit. Not only that but some of the skates are entirely hand made in the US at only ONE factory. I’m in the same boat and it sucks. It was supposed to come in around 8 weeks and now they say it might not for 14 weeks. But I have to remember it’s not their fault. They couldn’t have predicted covid and all this uproar over skating.
I ordered wheels and had to cancel my order. I wouldn't have gotten then till October
Mines gonna come in OCTOBER. I'm super grateful I can afford it but It's just sad.
ngl ive heard Moxi’s customer service sucks....was thinking of upgrading to Moxis but after this shit show i think id rather order from Riedell 😅

Been using my beach bunnies for the past 3 months and for anyone who new to skating, definitely change the toe stop! It wears down so quickly! Within a month of starting, my toe stops were to the metal. Highly recommend the Gumballs!
Hello! Genuine question, I realise it’s like been 8 months since you’ve wrote this but do they wear out like the impala skates? I’ve been researching for weeks but can’t seem to find the answer. Hope you are having an awesome day!
@@alacrow all toe stops wear out eventually but the duration of them differs from each one
Did you do a lot of skate park skating or just cruiser because maybe the rougher you can be when you ride the more your toe stop wears down? But thank you for the advice because I am getting the beach bunnies!
⚠️⚠️please remember, at the top of the beach bunny, there is a stuffing to take out. That’s probably why the toe box is tight. If you take it out I’m not sure if the sizing will change, but it will help⚠️⚠️
I think the toe box is just really tight for some people, like me. And I don't have a wide foot.
I just got mine and was watching to see how she put the toe box on and HOLY CRAP the toe stuffing was STUFFED in there!! Like it took me 30 minutes and a screwdriver to get it out 😂
watched this just as I was cleaning the exact same beach bunnies (periwinkle in size 7). a lot of the comments you made were very true for me, as a beginner skater, they were stiff for a while and the outdoor wheels don't have much give until you break them in. I found that I had to loosen the trucks quite a bit before they gave me the speed I wanted. they definitely feel very durable and the metal plate has given me, personally, a lot of balance. thank you for making this video! it certainly would help so many people out there buying skates right now :D cheers to you too, Rebel!
Hi there just wondering what your normal shoe size is? I’m planning on buying a pair of bunny’s but I’m worried about sizing since I know they fit more snug, I’m looking into getting a size 7 as i am usually a 7.5-8 in regular shoes
@@zoepulos8163 so when I checked the moxi charts, I bought the wrong size (size 8) and went for the size 7's instead. I'm usually a 39EU shoe size with narrow feet. the bunnies took a bit of breaking into but they fit really well now!
@@zoepulos8163 I’m a size 8-8.5 in my regular shoe size, I tried the size 7 in the skates they fitted a little tight so I sized up to a 8 and it fit perfectly.
So these are good for someone like myself who has never skated a day in their life??

for more comfort, i would recommend replacing the insole with something more supportive and replacing the bushings/cushions- the PowerDyne Reactor Magic Cushions fit the stock beach bunny plate/trucks. those changes along with looser lacing at the forefoot made my lovely bunnies so much more comfortable! 💕

Glad you did this review! Can you PLEASE do a video on all the different ways to lace up to make for a different custom fit?!
i got the beach bunnies earlier this year and the tightness in the toe stop was a big problem for me. however, i changed the way i laced the skates to take pressure off of that area and have had no issues since then. also make sure you loosen the trucks ! it's also a good skate for anyone who may have "weak" ankles or previous ankle injuries because the stiffness of the boot gives you really good ankle support.

@@mymello8461 hi, were you able to turn using your edges? Or did you have to pick up your feet to turn? Indy Jamma Jones in her review said she may change the bushings or the whole plate as the beach bunny didn't allow for using her edges to turn

I think I'm gonna get these.... I keep being wishy washy... But they got everything i want (metal plate, adjustable toe stops, and toe guards) within my budget
i already have a pair of impalas that i love but i’m not expecting them to last and i’m hoping to invest in moxis, should i go for $300 lollies or would beach bunnies be just as good, just cheaper, in comparison?

I'm not too sure about the beach bunnies but moonlight roller is comparable to moxis and a little cheaper!
I have only tried on Lollies for a short time in order to compare, but I've had my Beach Bunnies for over a year now. I've used the Bunnies for trail skating, (beginner!) park skating and jam skating.
My loooong two cents: I would not invest in the Lollies for park skating, if that will be your primary use. I find the stock aluminum plates on the Bunnies, while heavier, to be much preferable to the stock nylon Thrust plates on the Lollies, and I also appreciate the ankle support on the Bunnies. Lollies are soft suede with no ankle reinforcement. The Bunnies have been fine for trail/street skating once they broke in a little. (They were uncomfortable at first.) I think Lollies would be fine for trail/street cruising too, and come with better wheels for this. For jam/rink skating, I think I would prefer the Lollies. The stock wheels on the Lollies are too big and gummy for jam skating but the flexibility of the boot would be really helpful.
P.S. I'm actually considering the Moxi Panthers as a future park skating upgrade, as I hear the ankle is reinforced and the boot is stiff like the Beach Bunny. But since it's suede, I'm thinking it will break in even better and maybe be a better multi-purpose boot so I can jam in them. Otherwise eyeing those new Moonlight Roller boots for jam skating if the reviews are good!
I have beach bunnies, and a friend has impalas. They both have similarities. My beach bunnies heel is ripping pretty bad, and I think the lowly quality is a lot better.
Danielle Dyer so would beach bunnies be a better option for park skating? let’s say i advanced and got out of the beginning stage, would they last? i guess which boot can handle all of that is my biggest concern. thank you so much, i actually appreciate the lengthy replies.

As a vegan, the beach bunny and (ugh, boring reg colors of Jack) are only Moxi v optins and Im thrilled as these have many colors, and I have peach :) Love your enthusiasm and personality. You captured the BB perfectly! I love em

Oh my goodness… I feel so much more motivated to keep trying! I really love having a skate that just feels like it’s part of my foot, and so far this skate feels stiff and it definitely decreases my confidence and stability. I am going to keep trying and break them in! They seem like a sturdy skate.

Hey Rebel! Would you say you have narrow “average” or wide feet? I’m pretty sure I have wide feet so I’m worried about the pain when my skates arrive.
i have wide feet, so i wear thin socks and use a wide forefoot lacing technique with my beach bunnies.

I have impalas at the moment. When they will be worn out I am thinking about getting the Moxi. However I don't know if I'd go for the beach bunny/Lolly. Impalas are stiff anyway (and I am also doing inline skating and the boots is stiff and massive and it doesn't bother me). The lollies seem almost "not supportive" enough from what I am used too and to be frank I am not fan of the "suede" look. Also they are 300$... My goal is mostly cruising/ dancing/ spining etc... Are the Beach bunnies great for that ? Cause if there are almost similar in that regard I'd rather pay 150$ than300$ !

I love my beach bunny’s. I swear I got the last pair before they sold out! After a few times wearing them they completely molded to my feet. I highly recommend these skates to beginners, except if you have wide feet😂
Why only beginners?
They will DEFINITELY loosen up, i wore thick socks to make the loosening faster. I did take a long ish time but it was worth it

Im so lucky i just broke my skates (rio roller) and i was looking for some new ones and i found some beach bunny's, there was only 2 left in the colour i wanted (strawberry lemonade) and i have ordered them and there coming in 2-4 days! That's so soon i was expecting a long waiting list but i guess not! Im super exited and stoked!!!!

So sorry if you already answered this. You said in these skates you are a size 7 - what size are you normally for comparison? Are these listed in men sizes? I’m thinking of getting a pair and I typically wear a women’s size 7 so want to make sure I order the right size.

I've seen a lot of people recommend Sure-grip Fames! My feet are a little wide and I think they're so comfortable! They're my first pair of skates, so I can't really compare, but it what I commonly see recommended to wide footed people.

Does anyone know how wide BB is at the top of the toes and foot. Im not worried about the toes so much as I am about the part under the toes.
That part of my foot is 8CM/3inches.

so sad, it's my dream one of these but i'm from brazil and they don't ship here :( the brands that we have here are so expansive and don't have the same quality
They actually do ship, especially if you live in Rio or São Paulo, but the price of the shipping is SO EXPENSIVE that I'm pretty sure investing in any foreign brand as begginner is just a waste of money. I got mine from Oxer, Centauro, for R$200 and apart from the wheels they're quite nice, a friend of mine got some from Americanas and they seem to be at a good price point too, so if you look at the right places you will definitily find some that will last you a long time.
@@anabea3199 Well, they could ship to a company and the company ship to me, also i don't live in Rio ou São Paulo, but it's sooo expensive it doesn't make sense doing that, maybe if i buy a professional model, but yet it still doesn't worth the price :( maybe someday, cause moxi's are so pretty and shining!
@gab I know, I also don't live anywhere near the southeast and the shipping is just too much. I've been saving up to get some used lolly's, as I've been skating for almost 2 years, and am still no where near the amout of money needed for that. But maybe one day, we will both be lucky to own some pairs!

Hi Girl I seem to be old school and like your reviews as well as all the reviews out there in Skateland,So this is my point if you would get away from the word Cheaper and go to lesser price or lower cost skate it will up your game lets say 15 points . Just my Opinion Charlie.
What size shoe are you if you got a size 7?
badgalchey I ordered these from moxi in a size 6 and I normally wear tennis shoes like vans in a 7. I think the size 6 is fine, they’re a little stiff/tight at first but I think they’ll loosen comfortably. If you have maybe wide feet or wear a half size, then maybe order the same size as your shoe size. So if you normally wear a women’s 8, order a size 7 skate. If you wear an 8.5, order a size 8 skate. I’m not an expert but that’s my advice. The video starts talking about size around 12 min

Are this skates less heavy than impala ones? I bought impala ones back in 2020 but I didn’t like them much because of how heavy they were. It made skating kinda difficult to me, are beach bunnies heavy like impala ones or less heavy?

What kind of cushion firmness do you recommend the soft ones or medium ones ?
I'm planning on buying a pair of sky blue Beach bunnies in the new year as part of my 21st birthday present and I physically can not wait I've been soooooo excited for the past few months knowing I'm finally going to be getting a pair of moxi skates. Every review I've watched has recommended them and knowing I've got less than a week before I order my first pair of moxi skates I'm just one huge ball of excitement it's just a shame the weather in the UK this time of year is so bad.
I seem to have no edges on my Beach Bunnies despite adjusting the trucks. I used to skate on cheaper skates but even then I had much deeper edges. Does anyone have the same problem? I am starting to feel like it is impossible to do any artistic skating moves with these skates 😔
change out the bushings for a softer set! theyre rock hard and i found them almost unskateable

a Edwards I own these beach bunny skates, but from doing research I heard maybe to try Riedell or impalas! I heard impalas don’t last more than a year, but that can be okay for beginners to see if they want to later invest in better skates

Try a thick insole from the drug store like dr sholes (spelling?)
Thick socks? I've had to wear socks over socks to make rink skates fit.

Mine just came in yesterday 🤗🤗 I loosened the wheels so they spin for about 9 seconds before stopping but they still sort of feel like I’m skating through mud. Do you think I need to loosen them more? Or maybe it’s because I’m used to my 82a wheels 🤷🏼♀️ and I just need to adjust/give these wheels a longer try. I only skate outdoors on pavement (no ramps/skatepark stuff).
Thoughts on Rio skates?

Do the Beach Bunnies come with a Y4 Skate Tool? Also, is that something that I definitely need? Mine are supposed to arrive in December and I don’t want to miss something I need
My first skates are Impalas, Cynthia Crowley print. I have heard that Impalas smell wears but mine didn't. My daughter got the holographic ones and didn't find the funky smell everyone is talking about... maybe the shipping in Canada takes more time and so the smell goes? Anywho, my next pairs will be beach bunnies for sure
