Oh bro tell me about it right!!! In fact, these dudes have taken quite a few songs that I flat out didn't like before & made them likable. So in other words then,SNC are just a bunch of Midases running around turning Turds into Tasty Nuggs!!!!
@@johnnyquest9519 Oh I'll see you're SS & raise it. One hasn't truly experienced SNC,or any A Cappella Group for that matter, until they've invested in a pair of Bose's "On Ear" & "Noise Cancelling" Headphones. Not only do they give you the full range of tones, but each notch is beautifully rich!!! Which is important for transference of emotions & vibrato!!!! For me there simply is no better way to listen. Even when it comes to making music they're a must have. Sure it's nice for mixing/mastering purposes to have a pair of deep bass headphones as well. Yet you simply don't know what you're missing until you've incorporated some Bose into your set up!!! ✌😎🖖
Totally agree! Saw them last year in Indianapolis around Christmastime, it was awesome! One of the best concerts I have ever been too. The music is obviously wonderful but their stage presence is also highly entertaining.
When we saw them live they turned off all the mics and sang it true a Capella with only the acoustics of the concert hall. I'm not sure breathtaking is a strong enough word, but yes, absolutely.
I think the concept behind the video is great. Each guy is standing alone in the shadows, reflecting on his own fears & insecurities, yet he is in a room full of others who are feeling the same. He just doesn't seem to see them.
+Dorothy Kovacs I know what you mean. I'm definitely an analytical thinker, and much too much given to exposition than is good for typical interpersonal relations, ha. But hey, this is art and therefore meant to be analyzed, right?
The direction here is incredible. Notice how when they begin the bridge--"She's running--" the camera goes up to the window where sunlight is streaming in, and when it pans back to the performers, all of them are facing the same way, their backs to the window. Video and vocal artistry at its very finest.
My god, where have I been? I've been listening to Home Free, and Pentatonix, and tonight is the first time I've listened to these men, and it's been like auditory heaven!!!! I have a pair of very nice headphones cuz my wife is sleeping, and the way these men sound is incredible. I'm believing they'll be on tour close to where I live real soon!
Saw them in France, it was great! Actually what was the first song you heard them sing? For me, it was the Christmas Cancan (and who spiked the Egg Nog), at their beginning, I think. I also really like "I won't give up" and this version of Creep is amazing.
I cannot think of better video for those who thought they were different and did not know why. The lyrics are as unforgiving as the music is forgiving and together they set up a tension that is absolutely heartbreaking. This is a great performance by an arranger who knows the tension and who knows being different.
Straight no Chaser takes my breath away! Their harmony feels like a tangible entity that passes right through me as they sing. The sound wraps around me and draws me into another dimension of imagination and pleasure. Everything they arrange and perform is a treat to the ears, mind and soul!
YES! I've been fortunate enough to have seen 2 live performances in Portland, OR. I heard this mesmerizing piece on their PBS 25th Anniversary Concert...WOW! It felt as though I was holding my breath for this entire piece...wonderfully performed!! Talk about creating an harmonic atmosphere! Their arrangement is the absolute best!!
I must have been living under a rock! How am I only seeing this now? These guys did what Disturbed did with The Sound of Silence, I got goosebumps! I'm blown away and NEED to hear more!
Its just the looks on their faces! The pain, anguish, depression and hopelessness. I hate to see them lookin like that, It makes me want to go and give them all a hug :-(
Saw these guys perform this live last night. If SNC comes to your town, you owe it to yourself to see them live. Unlike a lot of acts, they sound amazing with professional studio production, but they sound FAR BETTER live. I've seen them twice now, and will not hesitate to see them every time they come through my area.
These gentlemen are incredible. I haven't been so happy with music in a long, long time! I'm hoping people realize there are no instruments. That "bass" sound is voice. They are just thrilling.
Their live versions blow away these studio versions. Saw them perform this live the other night. It was unbelievable. SNC should release a live in concert CD.
I think of all your produced, non-spontaneous videos, this one is your very best. I love the lighting, the black-white, the overall tone and mood, the camera moves. I think all of this augmented the tone that you appeared to be aiming for with the song. Great job, guys!
Man, every time I listen to this thing I see how awesome this is---The tone, harmony, precision, lighting, staging, each singer's features and the stretching of their feelings-- everything is put down in 4 minutes and 22 seconds. Really stunning. (Gonna listen again.....) [why is part of my text shown with lines running through it as if it were crossed out?]
Have seen these guys every years on tour for at least ten years, own all the albums and videos and will continue to go see them until they quit touring or I die. They are the reason I love music!
I've seen them live a couple of times, their last concert they did this song. I had never heard this before (either version) and I don't think I breathed through the whole thing. Beautiful.
Honestly I think that this is the best job you guys have ever done! I've watched this video well over a dozen times and I'm still not tired of watching!
Their vocals are spot on, their delivery is exceptional, and the set list was wonderfully entertaining! What a treat for us to be able to enjoy their live show in Champaign!
Gives me chills. Every. Single. Time. I saw them when they were in Aus last year and when they did this song, I was a bawling mess. The song is so emotive to start with, but the harmonies just take it to another level all together. Love it.
Saw this live at the start of the month and it blew me away! Easily one of their best songs, absolutely astonishing to listen to the harmonies in person.
They're also coming to Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts on Fri, Apr 6 at 8pm on the UConn campus in Storrs, CT. Back by popular demand. They're concerts are awesome!
Just wondering: For those criticizing the video, what kind of video would you have made for this song? I think the video is good in that it showcases the lyrics and the mood of the song. If you want something more than black t-shirts and beautiful harmonies, check out their videos for "Marvin Gaye", "Rolling in the Deep", "Happy", "Tainted Love", or any of the videos for their many Christmas songs. You still get beautiful harmonies and inventive arrangements, but there's more going on in the vids.
I'm diggin the black t-shirt vibe! It lends itself to a sort of dark vulnerability, imo. The guys are very good at conveying their individual portrayals of insecurity -- some are "open" about it and others are definitely "closed" -- and I think the black t-shirts really effectively work with both types of responses. I'm a sucker for nuance, and this video feeds that -- ten men with ten different, but equally valid, emotions (or combinations of emotions) for the audience to consider. It's a study in humanity. Tyler's sad acceptance just breaks my heart, though. As does Steve's cynical bitterness. And then at the end, Steve reaches out, but to no avail. Aaagh! Such great acting.
The melody and arrangement of this song makes it inherently difficult to screw it up. I've heard many versions but this was so soothing that I could listen to them sing it on constant repeat.
Fell in love with your harmony's the first time I saw you on television. Haven't fallen out of love still. This rendition of "Creep" is done in a way the evokes many levels of emotions and draws the listener into every word of the lyrics. Great job!!!!!!
This one gets cranked up in my car! Love the chords, thanks to my music director's love for harmonies, major/minor chords, and his beloved picardy (?) thirds. Breathtaking and emotionally charged. Music is supposed to move you, right?
My favorite version of this song, hands down, by a mile. Gives me goose bumps every time I listen to it. Would love to hear what you guys would do with 'Steady Ride' by Trocadero; a great song that could use your perfection.
I like this song it is a strong song with good emphasis. seriously why would people dislike that song. There's no reason why people dislike your group, just because they have or never heard of your song then they clearly hate songs that sounds so boring to them.
Just saw them live… this song really stood out to me… Perfection
Man, these guys never ruin anything. Simply phenomenal. A perfect example of sonic perfection.
+CurseOfBoggart Yes!!
Yup. It's like hearing surround sound. Every chord is in the middle of my head.
Except the Disney songs

If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. It's 100% worth it. This one live is absolutely breathtaking.
Ella Trotter Totally agree. One of my favorites.

@@christopherposeysr. Saw the same show when it came to Atlanta November 20. I'd never heard this song before, but I've become obsessed with it.
I think the concept behind the video is great. Each guy is standing alone in the shadows, reflecting on his own fears & insecurities, yet he is in a room full of others who are feeling the same. He just doesn't seem to see them.
+Dorothy Kovacs Exactly! I also love how at the end, you find them in solidarity. Still not interacting, but not alone.
+Sarah Seagraves I'm so glad you see it too! Sometimes I feel like I might be reading into something too much.
+Dorothy Kovacs I know what you mean. I'm definitely an analytical thinker, and much too much given to exposition than is good for typical interpersonal relations, ha. But hey, this is art and therefore meant to be analyzed, right?
+Sarah Seagraves My thoughts exactly! :)
No one can possibly be feeling what I'm feeling right? Ugh, this ego thing is kicking my ass.
... Saw this live last night and they just executed it beautifully. They killed it. It was emotional, and my favorite part of their whole show.

No words. Just tears.
Am I the only one appreciating the black and white themes of the last two videos? Good work, guys!
I'm in love with it too!
I love it as well
DAMN their harmonies are luscious, mixed with their warm tones. love this version. listen to it over and over.
For the last 10+ years these guys have been my absolute faves!! Whatever they do is classic!

Incredible arrangement and performance! Definitely some flash backs to the Beach Boys and The Association. Those unison male voices are AWESOME!
by far, my new favorite acapella group, every arrangement is brilliant! can't stop listening
One of the best Acapella covers ever, even in 2023. Love it, fellas!
Its just the looks on their faces! The pain, anguish, depression and hopelessness. I hate to see them lookin like that, It makes me want to go and give them all a hug :-(
I STILL get chills listening to this, even a year after first hearing it...
This is my all time favorite rendition of this tune!
just saw them live. they did this song as part of the act. Ten out of ten.
This is honestly one of the best song covers I've ever heard in my life. Saw them do it live a few months ago. Blew me the hell away
how can anyone not like this? How?
Definitely worth it spending some money for their albums!
This is by far the best version ever of this song !!! Bravo ! Pure perfection !!!🎤🎵🎶
Sorry. No. Radiohead and Homeless Mustard trump this for me.
They're just so damn good! Great cover guys!
I am officially in love with this group!
Bravo!! Best vocals since the Beach Boys!!!
This is by far the best song you guys have sang in my opinion
the live version of this was so incredible that i had to see the studio version. amazing.
They never disappoint. I have enjoyed them for a very long time.

1000% agree.. plus they are just super nice down to earth (and super talented) guys that really care about their fans. Love them to death!
Amazing! These guys rock live also!!! They performed this, I could listen to them all day. Thankful they share their talent with us 👍

You brought me in with 'Africa' and now this. I'm now a fan forever. Great job, guys! You never disappoint me. Amazing!
Your harmony sounds so much like The Beach Boys here; I can't get over it.
a haunting beach boy...
This is my favorite on the album. Just beautiful harmony!

Just saw SNC for the first time in Indy yesterday. Wow, just wow.
I think this version of Creep is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.

Amazing! Just absolutely undoubtedly undeniably GENIUS

Just saw them again last night - still amazing!
Beautiful work, gentlemen. You've inspired me to get started on an a cappella cover of my own! Much love.
Great rendering. As usual, harmony is fantastic.
Nicely done by all ! !
Keeps getting better. O yeah
goodluck on the kickoff of your tour!
Just happened upon this Vedic today. Awesome loved the execution of this song. They are in one word awesome.
Simply AMAZING 👍🇫🇷
saw them in St. Louis Friday night , and incredible vocal performance
