My mother, father, my young sister, grandmother, and grandfather all smoked and died from lung cancer. I am the only survivor in my family, yet I have chronic asthma since childbirth and have never smoked. If that's not a lesson to not smoke, I don't know what is. Smoking - @ 83 years of age I know that all my friends who smoked are a distant memory - I never smoked - and apart from some minor health issues - feel great - travel and enjoy life - addiction is a big problem and Smoking will get you in the end !!!
In 1964 the US Surgeon General idenfied using cigarettes and smoking cigarettes was a serious hazard to the users health and second hand smoke was also a health hazard to anyone exposed to second hand tobacco smoke. With this valuable information it took thirty years to remove tobacco smoking from many work places. Tobacco products have caused a lot of misery to many people and early death to millions of people.
Some of the information is interesting, but the presentation is juvenile. The damaged film “look” isn’t appropriate for anything after 1920; it just makes it difficult to watch. And there’s nothing “tragic” about people who die in their 70s and 80s.
You have made your video virtually unwatchable with all of those streaks and spots that you’ve added to perfectly good video. I could only watch about one minute and then had to click out. Get with it, people.
Smoking is one of the very worst things you can do to your body. It’s also expensive and people who smoke smell and look terrible. It trashes your skin and makes you look way older than your real age.

Gosh, I remember the recording he made from Mexico stating something like, "Mexico was making great progress in combating lung cancer." He "checked out" a little after that.

I believe that was when in the 1950s he and actress Susan Hayward (and other actors) when filming a movie in Utah or Arizona and were downwind from an atom bomb test in the Nevada desert. Susan Hayward would eventually die from a brain tumor some attribute to Hayward's possible exposure to the fallout from that test.
What is totally amazing is that this nutty video talked about the death of Alan Hale but used nothing but images of his son, Alan Hale, Jr. (The Skipper). Who checks this stuff? Total morons??

John Wayne died of stomach cancer, and Clark Gable died of a heart attack
LUNG CANCER SPREADS,
And Edward G Robinson died of bladder cancer, which if I recall, is about 1 1/2 feet away from the lungs....
@charlesa3374 Maybe you misread the title, it did say "Lung Cancer"
@ Correct...Bladder cancer is not lung cancer...maybe I'm misreading your response?

Those fake scratches and cat hairs are really really annoying. Old films already have honest abrasions and debris.
Yes, annoying and pointless.
Overkill

How about Chuck Connors..the Rifleman?
Also Humphrey Bogart died of cancer from smoking.

They don't call cigarettes, cough and nails for nothing
It is crazy that so many people use to smoke. In old movies and tv shows everyone is smoking. Pretty crazy to see now.
Actually, smoking was so ubiquitous that I’m surprised that there werent many more!
