    LOVE all the natural wood. It contrasts so nicely with the quartz in the kitchen. Just beautiful. 😍

    Why don’t home renovation shows value the dining room? Imagine buying a house and only having an island to eat at. Bizarre.

    While the house looks great, it doesn't look like a historic home inside. 🤔 Derek said he loved everything about the home, but now it all looks like a completely different house. I was disappointed to see all of the charm removed. Now it just looks like a regular contemporary house. Sorry, but the monkey wallpaper, the master bedroom, the polka dot paint. 😳 It's not my house, though.

    If it was never updated, why was there an island? And they didn't keep the wood floors, did they. I looks nice and all, outside is nice, but I feel it lost the charm it had inside. It looks contemporary.

    What does Jenny Marrs contribute to this show? Not seeing anything she does except complain and dramatize everything. Dave is the man that does the work.

    Love the colours etc but the old character of the house was completely lost. It was beautiful before internally.

    • @VioletJoy
      @VioletJoy Рік тому +1

      They removed all the charm and made it contemporary, which is the opposite of what he said he loved about the home in the first place. I'm left confused.

    The outside is beautiful. The inside belongs in a new house. I really don't like it when people buy an old house for the character, but then ruin it by knocking down walls and turning it into something it's not. This house is just awful on the inside!

    • @crmlcd
      @crmlcd Рік тому +1

      I agree. Let’s buy and old house then tear out all the walls. They should have made a large cased opening not remove the entire wall. Breaks my heart..

    So modern. It lost it’s charm and those old floors or that color stain looked so much better before. Sad.

    A bit blend and lack of colors and personality. Ben and Erin are so much better.

    All Jenny had to do
    was ooo and aaah over the snake and Dave would not have teased her.
    Ladies, try it. I am 80, and did this in 7th grade Science class when the boys chased the girls with bugs. I was Always left alone. Which is what I wanted.

      I wish they would trade/sell it or give it to the needy, the sink and the cabinets could have been reused for example.

    Actually, quartzite is not "a lot harder". Granite typically measures 6-6.5 on the Mohs Hardness Scale, while quartzite ranks at 7 so it is a bit harder but not by much.
