I saw this tonight at the Fox in Oakland. The bass was so heavy I thought the laminin that holds my cells together would decay and my body would fall apart or I would just explode completely. Fucking best show I've seen hands down. If you find tickets even over $100, BUY THEM.
ru0na I'd love to see him at the Fox, there's a bootleg floating around the internet from the Majesty Snowbird tour of his concert there and he was on fire that night, doing some incredible versions of a bunch of songs from the first 3 albums plus a couple of unreleased ones. You're a lucky dude!
+Edwin McCormack man, im so jealous. The closes concert to me was all the way in Vancouver, and that's like a 6 hour drive. I would have gone for sure, but i found out to late. I really hope he does another north America tour. It looks like a once in a lifetime experience.

It's like for one second you fear your ability to withstand the intensity of the sound... and then you think; if this song were to kill me I'd be okay with that because it is so intensely amazing , beautiful, and transcendent... that it's really almost worth the possibility of falling apart or maybe having a heart attack for (haha) just to experience that incredible moment of sound Art.
Really glad someone caught this. It was one of my top musical experiences last year. We went to the Charleston show, and I told my friend after this song that I wouldn't be shocked if we walked outside and weren't in Charleston anymore.
Kudos to you for holding on this long. I went to the show last night, and I was really hoping someone recorded this somewhere for me to keep. So thanks. This part was something I'll never forget.

The live adaptations were screaming Sigur Ros! Sufjan and his band took these delicate songs and blew them to a massive size, and made them even more emotionally intense!
I was at this very show!! I was sad after I heard this song because I thought I was never going to hear it the same way again, but I'm so glad you recorded it and put it up ❤️
I love that the extended swell at the end of this song became more abrasive (I assume) the longer the tour went on. By the time he got to Melbourne the whole thing had transformed into harsh noise and feedback at it's climax, with James on drums going batshit crazy over the top. 10/10
