Maresca got his system working in a real team before Chelsea signed him. Arteta had to start from scratch with Arsenal and make all the mistakes there.
Chelsea have spent so much money on players that they really don't need to spend too much now. As long as the players still have their talents and potential, all they really need is a better injury record. A proven goal scorer will also be good but Jackon can easily be worked on and Nkunku can help if fit.
It now all depends on how good Maresca really is and how fast he can get the players playing his system. We will find out soon..............
What I can say is only time will tell.let the league start and then we see who gets worse and maybe you will be surprised. What I know is when rivals start to banter they know something is coming
