@@anikabiswas7523 deforestation means cutting down a tree. But in the case of a banana leaf, only the leaf part is used. The leaves of a tree, even wholly cut down, regenerate very quickly.
So it's not deforestation and is sustainable.

But How did he increased the shell life upto 6 months without adding any chemical in it? What he used for shell life?
if you make a very tight dough of a glutenous flour like wheat, it has natural gum like quality to it. jaggery when it is 4 to 5 years old can be boiled to make a very tough concrete like material. and the last thing is Gond or edible gum. its the same Gond from which we make Gond ke laddoo eaten in winters to keep our bones in good condition. when wheat flour , boiled old jaggery and Gond are mixed together, it will become a very strong material. sheets can be made out of these and then molded into whatever shape. its not only durable but if you eat its a healthy food too !!
A mix of boiled old jaggery and Gond is used in villages for water proofing their roofs. this combination is so strong and leakproof.
you can somewhat relate it to making papad. papad is also a dried dal product which lasts for years without any preservatives or chemicals. imagine if this papad was made slightly thicker and used as plates this could hold food in it for sometime. Khichia papad is one such example.

I wanted to use these plates and forks at my restaurant but when i saw the price for them, its 30rs for 6 spoons. thats expensive for a bussiness or for a party like shadi, langar, bhandara etc. hope to see some cheaper options

In Maharashtra called पत्र वाळी is made up of leaves to serve food in traditional ocassion like Wedding, Birthday celebration, Naamkaran etc.
Also use of Banana leaves to serve food.

The issue with these is the price. All environment friendly products are sold with a huge profit margin. If these people really care about Environment then they should stop looting people in the name of environment friendly.
