Finally I would like to say that Chopin has no way of competing with the most difficult works of Czerny
It ain't a masterpiece by a long run. It is well written for the piano, it's fun to play and to listen to, but, for the love of great music, this isn't a masterpiece. You just cannot call it that... what would you call Bach's Chaconne for solo violin?! Cheers.
Impressive! Czerny was a VERY good composer. Liszt said, that Czerny could have been one of THE greatest, if he had given more time to his own artistic development and less to Etudes. Often it becomes quite clear, that he was a great inspiration for Chopin.
There's a lovely set of variations here which are not too difficult - La Ricordansa: ua-cam.com/video/bksaX_zLcQA/v-deo.htmlm58s - Horowitz was fond of them.
Felicidades.
A work of majesty and honor. Libetta definately has played the best version I've heard. Everyone always either plays it way too slow or just messes up constantly. Well done!
@@lunchmind Chopin said that the first time he met Czerny! but time later Chopin learned to compose the Nocturne form when he stayed in Paris at Czerny's house! Chopin was delighted with the Nocturne 4 of Op.368
Grandissimo Francesco e grandissimo Czerny.
@@antonini94You can be a genius but if you don't practice, you can't be good at playing piano. You use your hands and fingers and not just your brain to play piano.
It is indeed! Jack Gibbons once had the courage to play Alkan’s 121 page Concerto for Solo Piano as an encore; Pollini Stockhausen’s Klavierstücke; and Hamelin Szimanovski’s 2nd Sonata. All quite impressive indeed.
Oh my gosh! Is very hard to perform some dinamics. It's really hard to pratice with a high perfection, but is the best interpretation I heard about it.
Getting my Czerny book was the rude awakening in my classical piano lessons, I was a good player but reading wasn't great. This sent me running away and never came back! 😂

This is definitely one of the most exciting ones from Op 740, "The Art of Finger Dexterity". If only Czerny had given equal challenge to the LH that he gave to the RH, in this and many of his studies.
Czerny has the left hand school Op.399 the most difficult etudes written for the left hand, and Op.400 which combines fugue and etude, surpassing Liszt and Alkan etudes
I like how this is just randomly recommended to me...I don’t usually listen to classical but I personally enjoy it once I listen to it, at least a minute

Czerny wrote a f**k ton of etudes. It's just his Op. 599 that's commonly used. His Op. 599 is basically 100 (I don't really know how many) progressive etudes.
A Bravoure Etude with Grandeur. A stunning piece in Chopin style. I think the man could just about do anything on the piano. Competionwise he would have beaten Alkan and liszt in the old days.
A moment of silence for those who said Czerny is for beginner children.
