Many of us dance for the fun of dancing and interacting with other people. There are some of us who are interested in higher level routine. Thank you again for the wonderful videos Egils.
What happened to the gracefull smplicity ...danceable..enjoyable..way to dance the waltz ..? This is for competition NOT the party only level for the public ..
Depending on your dance hall you see much variation in capability. At the ballroom we went to as a novice for party night you would see a full spectrum of capability. Rule was you kept moving around the floor, slow movers in the centre. Initially we thought some of the advanced dancers bumped into others too often, then we realized they were just learning. Once they mastered the routines they glided around the room.
@@roslynpittoni5475 I agree, the ladies must get a sore neck and back, most of the time they are looking at the ceiling, it’s unfortunate that one dancer will do something and win and then everyone thinks that position or step was why they won and then everyone will copy.

Beautifully danced. Do you offer online instruction? I'm from the US and am looking to get to competition level for Cha cha and Rumba.
Yes. You can comtact me through email egils.smagris@gmail.com
What country is the teacher in?
Latvia 🇱🇻
If you look at WDSF comps in Latvia you can see Mr Smagris judging. Also search the couple dancing and you can see them dancing in WDSF comps.

It is the 90 degree bend of the back which I can't understand. It does not look graceful or comfortable.
