First video of yours I've stumbled on and I gotta say, the quality is fantastic. The absolute cherry on the top was the full list in the description already instead of lazily letting a commenter do it.
@@ALBUPerformance Also stumbled upon this video and I was really impressed by how detailed it was. So many of these "performance guide" videos are incredibly barebones and outright stupid that its nice to see an actual no shit video explaining each settings performance and visual impact. Keep it up my dude.
I just used your recommendations for season 6 and it helped my game a lot. I was getting a lot of stuttering and freezes playing at 4k but your recommendations eliminated all of the issues. Thanks! 🙏
Never saw your videos before. I loved this one. I love Diablo but I don't have a good machine so hearing you explain the settings with evidence makes it so much easier for me to get more out of my machine. Thank you mate.
Thanks so much for the no-fuss rundown and taking the time to explain the processes behind each setting - the performance was irking me to no end and your recommendations definitely improved my experience with the game. :) If you're in search of ideas then I think WoW would be a worthy task - going through them is downright daunting at times.
Glad it helped! I plan to make the same videos for all your favorite games and hope to see your name in the comments section again for a future title :)
was looking for this video. I come back every season and hate having my settings changed or some updates come to those settings. Thank you for the informative video!
Wow, this is fantastic! Thank the algorithm for recommending this video to me but more so thank you for this amazing video. I usually watch DF or others like Hardware Unboxed and that Owen guy but they usually don’t put out new videos once the game is out for a while and hasn’t seen any huge visual changes, so thank you very much for this. I’m playing at 1620p (21:9 4K so to speak) custom res on my lg cx 65 inch oled on a 3080 10gb with 24gb of ddr3 ram (was 32gb but one 8gb ram kit died) and with an age old xeon e3 1230v3 @3,3ghz. Getting around 60~120fps with a couple of stuttering in especially town area or when changing areas which I guess is because of the cpu or the game, I don’t know but I haven’t tried out balanced mode and 4K textures cause quality was always running smoothly most of the time and the 4K textures crashed my pc a couple of times when the game released. Will try your settings as well as dlss balanced and 4K textures. I’m also playing on steam deck. Wondering about best fsr2 setting on the deck. Have it on quality but the image is not very sharp. A lot of fizzle, unclearness.
your videos are so well made, simple and straight to the point, and its nice to get a real explanation of what these do as each games tends to skew meanings. thankyou :)
So glad this got recommended on my feed! Thank you so much Ser 🙏 Very informative, a lot of details and great summary! Absolutely love it. I always like to min max the performance but I'm not too tech savvy so I was struggling with D4. Keep up the good work 👍
Super useful video and really helped! More people should see this. BTW the distortion setting affects the flames on my new druid helm. Looks much better without the shimmer.
Thanks for this! I wish I knew when making the video because it would've been great to test the effect on performance from a moving distortion flame in-game. I was only able to find stationary ones myself and tested most spells/abilities with no luck.
LOL thank you for this, I didn't think I'd want to sit through a settings video, but you proved me wrong. After I kept hearing and seeing that so many settings do negligible or no differences I watched the entire thing to realize what settings I wasting my time with being on or high, fur quality not even affecting anything in the gameplay specially gave me a good laugh. Who let them cook these up??? 🤣💀
This is actually what got me into this as well, started doing some testing and realizing many games are like this where many settings don't act as you'd expect. Glad to hear my videos are helping so many!
I have tested settings on AMD vs NVIDIA in the past and it wasn't worth separate videos. The only things worth testing would be DLSS and RayTracing with the results you'd expect.
This is an interesting game as it's more intensive on the vram useage, but also CPU intensive while still pushing the GPU to the limits. I'd guess many people are likely to hit some sort of bottleneck in this game. I've never played it myself but will look into a benchmark video and see if it makes sense. In the meantime I'd recommend checking your vram usage and see if you are limited at all as this game should easily take advantage of 32GB.
FSR 1.0 performs particularly well at higher 1440p and 4K resolutions, but lacks visual fidelity at lower resolutions such as 1080p. FSR 2.0 greatly improves on that, offering better image quality across all resolutions making it the clear choice. FSR 2.0 also has poor compatibility with older AMD cards, but that's not the case with your 6800XT.
Nicely done! Best guide out there for the in-game settings! Can you also do the same with the Nvidia control panel settings? I think they are important to! There are many options there and it can be confusing. Both the Nvidia control panel and the game have a vertical sync option I dunno why. Same thing with the Nvidia reflex low latency setting. And there are some windows 10/11 shenanigans too for gaming, cpu, etc! Plus bios stuff like Resizable BAR. Anyway did they changed anything with the expansion cuse I think the game visual looks better with the same config? I know they added view distance. Also do you know how the first 3 options under the gameplay tab affect the visuals/performance of the game? Btw in the new upcoming patch this week they say new graphics options have been added: -Chromatic Aberration Toggle -Ultra setting for Ray Tracing Reflections -Fixed an issue where some users couldn't toggle certain advanced graphics options. Maybe this will fix the options that are not working properly. It really gets me wonder why they do not work on the first place, maybe it's meant for console?
Thank you for bringing up the issue with the medium setting with Ambient Occlusion. I thought my gpu was broken. Wonder if Blizzard knows it’s an issue
I was expecting them to remove the medium setting for Ambient Occlusion given how many people have trouble figuring out what causes the flickering. When you see how many settings are in fact broken, and how the Contact Shadows update was actually a massive downgrade it becomes apparent the settings don't get much attention from devs. Unfortunately my videos highlight this is common in numerous games.
Have a RX580 and with these settings FPS improved a lot without losing any visual quality , everything is the same basicaly but FPS improved especially in Dungeons / PIT , etc. Thanks for the tips ! , Liked and Subscribed ! 👍 PS: Whats the major difference between AMD FSR 1.0 or 2 ? Any recommendation there ? , thanks👍
Glad to hear my video improved your game! FSR 1.0 performs particularly well at higher 1440p and 4K resolutions, but lacks visual fidelity at lower resolutions such as 1080p. FSR 2.0 greatly improves on that, offering better image quality across all resolutions making it the clear choice. Unfortunately FSR 2.0 compatibility isn't great on older AMD cards. Your RX580 is kind of on the edge for this and will run 2.0 but if you notice any issues then lower it to 1.0
Doesn't seem like blizzard is in any hurry to fix/adjust their non-working settings or even the broken OA. Currently there is nothing that merits a new video, however if I find anything worth mentioning it'll be added to the video description like my other vids.
