Back then is when Our focus was on "the Lord and pleasing him" instead of on people pleasing. The old songs and hymns spoke of our trust and belief in God as the foundation that we stood on in faith, and gave us the strength and hope that we needed to make it through. Now the music has gone to the world. and only have to make us want to shake our bodies and shout and please the public interests.
