Here’s the one thing about this story that f**ked me up.. if dude was stuck in a cave where he eventually died.. Who’s bright idea is to put his coffin in another cave???.. Man I would’ve been haunting EVERYBODY
What i don't understand is if he was an experienced caver..cave explorer then shouldn't he have known better than to go alone? I mean i don't care how experienced you are anything can go wrong and then if you're by yourself then what? Of course if his brother was with him there's a possibility they both could have been trapped but on the other hand if his lamp went out they would still have light from his brother's lamp assuming they both each had a lamp...aslo if the rock fell and still pinned him then if his brother was there he could have possibly lifted the rock and then gotten of course if his brother was ahead of him and he still got pinned well then that wouldn't have worked.... Also when he turned around to crawl back out why didn't he flip over onto his stomach? That way he could have a better view of the lamp and have a better grip to push the lamp then scoot..push then scoot..also why didn't he have a backup lamp? Or the stuff needed to relight an oil lamp..of course im not sure how easy or dangerous that was so I may be wrong but I feel many things could have been done to prevent this from happening in the first place and many things could've and should've been done that might have saved his life..ex 1 his brother taking so long to come back 2nd coming back by himself why didn't he have a group of men there to help..3rd he was chiseling away all by himself so of course he gets tired and oh yeah he just leaves and goes home and eats and sleeps no problem...plus takes forever to come back again..if he would have come back initially with several men and if those men would have worked in shifts non stop 24 hours a day i bet they would've been able to have released him and he would've survived...that's my humble opinion.....
@@peekaboosueThe thing about soomebody being experienced in anything is that the more experience you have the more likely that you will want to go alone.
I get it ( well I don't) people get s thrill of new discovery and its a big adventure but surely in this dsy and age you can automated/ drones to see whats ahead of you

This story actually pisses me off. I ask to be forgiven if I’m wrong but I feel like his brother really didn’t want him to get out.
everyone should see internethistorian's telling of this
There is a cave here in Arkansas that is related to a community of giant people living in a cave its up north in the Ozarks
